We had an excellent visit to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve with Donald. He was able to find many unique birds, tarantulas, snakes and a sleeping 2 toed sloth. He shared many interesting facts about each and was extremely knowledgeable about the cloud forest and about all of Costa Rica wildlife. We would highly recommend a tour of Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve with Donald.

Poor poor communication. We were told to arrive prior to 7am but the tour guide didn’t even show up until 7:40am. We tried contacting the company but no one got back to us until after the guide finally showed up. We paid $90USD and while we did enjoy the tour once it began it was absolutely not worth it and there were much cheaper options even with the fact that those options you’d have to purchase your own tickets.
The guide was informative and patient once we were on the tour, but the stress of not knowing if we’d even get to go on the tour did not make up for that.

Justin was enthusiastic & very knowledgeable. He clearly loves teaching about his country & the environment & history.of Monteverde. The dark forest of Monteverde was beautiful & ended the outward leg of the hike with a lovely Catarata (waterfall). I would definiately recommend this experience. Difficulty level is easy @ 1.5 km.

We hebben mooie stukken regenwoud kunnen bewonderen. We hebben een quetzal, nachtegaal en een kolobrie kunnen spotten. Maar de gids was nogal verstrooid en haastig af en toe. Het is een mooi park, maar de entree is belachelijk duur. 50$ voor volwassenen en 25$ voor kinderen tót 12 jaar. Dat komt er dus nog bij.

Het is erg jammer dat je de toegangsprijs voor het Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve te duur vond en dit is iets dat we volledig buiten onze handen hebben, waar we geen controle over hebben. We hadden graag een rondleiding voor u verzorgd naar een van de vele andere parken die u binnen uw budget had kunnen kiezen. U hebt echter gekozen voor Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve.
Het is ook belangrijk om te verduidelijken dat de toegangsprijs die u eerder noemde onjuist is. Het tarief voor volwassenen is $ 25 en voor kinderen/studenten is $ 12.
We kijken ernaar uit je terug te zien voor nog een fantastisch avontuur; we hebben nog zoveel natuurschoon te bieden. Tot ziens op een nieuwe reis in dit prachtige land vol natuur, geweldige landschapsarchitectuur en vriendelijke mensen.
