This is a light to moderate hiking tour. Our guide, Steven Rojas, was excellent! He was very knowledgeable and easy going. The scenery is beautiful and it was great to have a great lunch waiting for us afterwards. We highly recommend it!

Book this activity!!! Worth EVERY PENNY! Hope you get Victorian as a guide he was so knowledgeable and does so much for the conservation of Costa Rica. Such a beautiful hike with many waterfalls to see. The lunch at the end was delicious with spectacular panoramic views!

Our guide Victor was amazing! We enjoyed his company so much. The waterfalls were amazing and the hanging bridges really fun. Even though we went on what was probably the busiest time of the year, Victor took his time on the walk, shared lots of knowledge about the plants and animals and was great company. The trees, river and butterflies were beautiful and we were extremely lucky to see a snake climbing a tree there. This was our favourite guided walk.

Great tour with Steven as our guide. He was so helpful for me especially because some points of the trail to and from waterfalls was extremely steep. He helped me so much. Wear good hiking shoes with a non slip grip. Bring lots of water and a snack. It was about 4 hours of hiking mainly because I was a bit slower. He knew about the local flora and fauna and the best swimming holes at El Tigre. Bring rain gear or ponchos because it rained a lot. We saw birds and plants galore. It was chilly in the morning so dress in layers. You will get muddy.

We loved our hike through the cloud forest. Jean Carlo was a great guide with information about many different tree, shrubs, flowering plants, birds and the cloud forest. The hike was about three miles through all terrains and the hanging bridges were so much fun and the waterfalls were spectacular. We finished the day with a delicious lunch in the main building. We highly recommend this hike and Jean Carlo as your guide.

This experience was true cloud forest. Windy, misty, wet, rainy and beautiful! Rain gear was a must on this day, waterproof hiking shoes were also beneficial, and a measure of physical fitness is also important. Lots of steps and downward trails, interspersed with some challenging ups! However, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Jean Carlos is very knowledgeable about the forest fauna and birds. He is an experienced guide and made our excursion very rewarding. The waterfalls were beautiful, lots of swinging bridges across creeks and valleys added some fun as well! There is the option of a series of bike zip lines with some beautiful views but you should be ok with heights! My young adult kids enjoyed this a lot. (Note there is an additional $30USD cost per person for this which gets paid back at reception afterward). We opted not to swim in the waterfall pools as we had done this elsewhere and it was a rather chilly day. The horse ride back was a good experience for even novice riders as the horses are well trained. Having a change of dry clothes with you is very helpful. We would recommend this tour as a great way to see another aspect of Costa Rica!

This was a decent hike through the forest but you will not see wildlife. If plants is what you’re looking for or waterfalls, this is your tour.
Our guide was incredibly patient with our group - we just expected something different out of this.

What a fantastic experience with Jean Carlo. We saw many waterfalls during our hike which were beautiful! Jean Carlo also told us about the different plants and birds along our tour. He went our speed and gave us options as we went along. The food was good at the end he helped taking great pictures. We took the horse back ride back down to the main area which was a fun option. Overall, great excursion and would recommend it! Thank you!

Our guide to was able to explain a lot of the area and explain what we were seeing. The waterfalls were beautiful and the horse back ride back up was fun. Meal was good.

Being in the mountains was absolutely beautiful. You are even able to see the Arenal Volcano in the distance. The hike was great and the scenery was amazing. The lunch at the restaurant was hearty and full of flavour. You can sit near the window that overlooks the mountain range, which makes for an unforgettable experience.

It’s a very unique and beautiful part of the country. Take the guided tour because they know what to look for on the trails

This hike to the waterfalls was amazing. Walking sticks helped with the steep paths through the clouds forest. Jean Carlos was a knowledgeable, helpful, attentive, and friendly guide. The return trip up the trails on horseback and a delicious meal at the top made this an unforgettable experience. Don’t hesitate to book this tour with Jean Carlos.

Our guide was really good! So knowledgeable and found us many amazing things. The bridges were great and while smaller a lot more fun than another park we went to with bigger bridges. The fact it was mostly down hill walking then we got to ride horses back up the hill at the end was a bonus. As a horse owner I can tell you they seemed well cared for and well behaved!

Jean Carlo gave the best tour through El Tigre to see all the waterfalls. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the wildlife, vegetation, area, history, and bird life. He offered to take many pictures and they turned out spectacular. He knows the different angles and locations. We had a great experience. This is one guide I would not hesitate to book again.

Very experienced, knowledgeable, kind, passionate about nature, guide. Stunning scenery, waterfalls and birds. If swimming in waterfalls, good to have swim shoes. The last water fall was best for swimming. Loved the horse trek. All of the staff very nice. Good lunch and free drinks included. I am already recommending this to other tourists in Costa.

The view from the top of the trail above the reception building is spectacular with great birdwatching. The hike down to the falls is fairly steep but seeing the many beautiful falls is worth it. We had an excellent guide who explained the history of the falls and pointed out many interesting things along the way. There are several hanging bridges to walk over which are fun and you can swim in the creek in one of the deeper pools . The hike takes several hours and requires at least a medium fitness level.

This tour is an incredible journey into a magical forest filled with wildlife such as birds, monkeys and butterflies. The waterfalls throughout the tour are breathtaking ! Our guide Melvin was very knowledgeable about the animals, flora, and fauna. He shared with us many interesting facts about the trees, the competing regions and beauty of the cloud forest. The tour manager, Juan Carlos was very friendly and professional. Do not hesitate to book this tour if in the Monteverde area. We would definitely recommend.
