This was my 3rd time zip lining in another country and by far my favorite. The cloud forest is beautiful and has amazing open views. Seeing the tree tops and even the clouds covering the mountains was INCREDIBLE. The guides were all super fun and talented.

I had requested the full-day ticket. Viator said they would take care of it for me on a phone call They booked a half day. Had to pay extra when my son and I arrived. Park provides transportation. Just hopped on one of many available vans waiting to take us back to our lodging. Park was excellent. 8 Hanging bridges. 13 zip lines. Sloth and reptile habitats up close and personal. Plan a full day and be ready for plenty of exercise. Food is expensive.

I loved the Zipline (canopy tour). There were 2 really long zip lines. They were both each over 0.5 miles long! Trees were beautiful. The butterfly garden was also very interesting. They gave us an hour guided tour and then let us stay and look at the butterflies. Saw the crystalis and some butterflies were drying their wings because they just came out of their crystalises.

Great first time zip lining

As a solo traveler and first time zip lining, this was a blast. They start you off easy and it progresses. Highly recommend the Superman. This package includes the butterfly garden but not the sloth tour, so keep that in mind. Hanging bridges were cool and could be done at your own pace.

Scared of heights but loved it

The tour starts with getting equipment, loading onto a bus, and a safety demonstration. The first two zip lines are short to build your confidence and if you purchased photos, that’s where they are taken. The best line is the 1km where you can do the super man pose or ride double with a partner. I’m nervous around heights but loved the experience and the view was beautiful. I felt safe and enjoyed the adventure!

Our first time to Zipline! Great experience. The entire park was clean and well kept. Lunch was good at the park, but pricy. Butterfly garden was nice. It was a great day! The staff was helpful and very pleasant.

Enjoyable but all a bit rushed

The long zip lines are great fun, but I did feel rushed through and I’ve been to better places where you have time to take a video or photo of your partner coming down the zip. I was shuffled off on to the next zip before he’d even arrived on the platform on a number of occasions. We did the sloth tour which was okay but again I felt the tour guide rushed us along and I would have liked to have a bit more time in there. The butterfly house was great as we were lucky enough to go in without a guide and spent lots of time enjoying the peace and the butterflies and photographing them. We did the hanging bridges, again this was pleasant but we had a few groups going through which were very noisy so we didn’t get to see any wildlife on the walk which was quite frustrating. Would I go again? No probably not.

The zip lining was amazing! The crew was friendly and efficient. I highly suggest you pay extra for the “Superman” (prone position) zip at the end. If you wear contacts, perhaps some goggles, as it can get really windy. If you’re under 200lbs, also go for the free Tarzan jump. It’s hella scary, but thrilling. I did the bridges and butterfly parts without a guide, which allowed me to go at my own pace. Saw some coatis doing their thing! I heard the guides are quite knowledgeable, so either way! The fact that transportation was included made it that much better, as transportation is always a concern. The place was clean and well-run.

The Selvatura team were super friendly, informative, and professional! They took our safety seriously during ziplining and they made us feel more relaxed. The highlight of the day was not only the ziplining through the jungle, but also doing the entire hanging bridges hike on our own where we spotted things like a toucan, howler monkeys, and quails :) Highly recommend visiting this park at least to walk around and experience the wildlife.

Just do the zipline (or one activity)

Zipline was 5/5. We did the zipline, hanging bridges, and butterfly tour. Do not do all three. Choose either the zipline for a fast paced experience or the bridges for a leisurely experience. We got stuck behind a guided tour of the bridges and it took us almost 2 hours to walk ~1.75 miles. The zipline tour is about 30-40 people and takes you on 13 lines, plus the optional Tarzan swing which is a free fall from a ledge then you swing like a pendulum a few times before they stop you by hitting your legs to slow you down, then by grabbing your feet. There is a wait for some of the lines, but once it gets going it is pretty continuous. You walk about 1.75 miles to get to all the platforms and it is steep in at least half the sections. It is $13 USD to do the Superman style harness (flying on your stomach, just like you would imagine Superman flying) on the last, and longest, line. Then of course, there are photo packages for $35-40 USD. I didn’t want to see the butterfly garden, but I wanted to book a refundable combo tour in case our trip didn’t work out, and this is what was available. By the end of the zipline, lunch, and bridge walk we were tired and ready to leave. Lunch at the restaurant was very good, but expensive ($50 for two entrees and two coffees.) Looking back it was more money than I would have liked to spend ($230 USD for the day for 2 people, and only one of us did the Superman sling.) Again, just chose one activity because you aren’t missing much if you skip the bridges, etc. Also, this would not have sold out so if you need flexibility, just book when you get here.

Cloud forest adventure tour

We were a group of seven all over sixty. We went on the zip line tour, the bridge trail and the butterfly house. The zip line tour was lots of fun. The guides were excellent and very good at keeping everything moving along with little waiting. The bridge hike was interesting to see all the different plants in the cloud forest. The butterfly house guide did a great job explaining the different butterfly’s and there life cycle. I would definitely reccomend this tour.

Great staff & fun ziplines! Every staff member was very safety conscious. There were 16 ziplines which we found to be too many for us at our age of 67. We had paid for a English guide of the hanging bridges & the butterfly gardens but were too tired to do those items. Lunch at cafe was great though. We bought picture pkg & luckily the lady at the door asked to see our pics & realized the staff gave us the wrong ones so we went back & got correct ones.

My had a great time at Selvatura including the zip lining, Tarzan swing, sloth and butterfly gardens. We walked the hanging bridges also, which was beautiful, but really regret not getting a guided tour. It would’ve been worth the extra money to know what we were looking at. All of the guides were wonderful and were there to make sure we had a wonderful experience.

I didn't look forward to zip lining. I am old and have enough "arousal" in my daily life. But I went because my grandkids wanted to go. They had a grand time, and I was OK. I felt safe enough. The staff was professional and caring. And our guided tour of the butterfly house was great. So beautiful, and my grandkids and I learned a lot.

Worthwhile to book through Viator because transportation was arranged from town. Selvatura is similar to an amusement park and most of the day is self-guided. When you arrive and after check in, recommend going straight to the zip line adventure so you don’t have to wait for too long. There are waits between certain lines but that allows your guides to have time to get everyone across and stay with your small group. I appreciated that the same guides accompanied us throughput, which made it more enjoyable and lighthearted. I recommend paying the $12 fee for the Superman position for the final zip line. The views are remarkable and unforgettable. There is a restaurant on the park so you can order lunch. There are small fees for lockers and pictures.

Surprisingly fun! Even with a little fear of heights, this was easy. It’s a couple hours of switching between adrenaline rush from the zips, and then heart pumping from an uphill hike between the lines. The hanging bridge walk was excellent and an easy walk. A little annoying that every other exhibit was an add-on fee, but the butterfly garden was excellent (and like a sauna)

Super fun Zipline experience

The guides were great! funny, efficient, most of all everyone in our group felt safe and comfortable. I read reviews that the superman had long wait times..not sure what they meant by that. The max group size 10 people. The last zip is your choice to go regular or superman...I regret not going superman.the small up charge looked well worth it. It's one kilometer long!
