It was a good idea.

The personal driver/guide was a great idea. Not only did we get to the (very busy) Friday Kahlo museum utterly hassle free. Oscar (our excellent and very friendly guide) showed us around the beautiful neighbourhoods nearby with time to shop, eat and stroll around. We would never have found these places on our own. Comprehensive Frida/Diego Tour and Commentary

If you really want to learn about Frida and Diego, this is the way to go. If you only go to the blue house/Frida Kahlo Museum and the Frida-Diego house and studio, then you are only getting part of the story. There are remarkable pieces of artwork spread out around the city that are logistically difficult to get to and that I suspect very few tourists see but that are important for understanding the breath of these artists careers. I highly recommend this tour.
