Joshua (the Venezuelan Jake Gyllenhaal) was an amazing guide! This trip was more than we could’ve ever expected and we loved the stops along the way. The horses were gorgeous and the scenery was stunning. We also really appreciated how Joshua went the extra mile to take beautiful photos of all of us. Could not recommend this experience more!

As a first time rider, Joshua our guide took extra time to teach me how to ride with safety tips. He made sure I was comfortable and corrected my technique as he was very attentive. We had a great time, the nature is beautiful, the horses are well taken care of and everyone at the little farm is wonderful. It was much more than I could have asked for! I was even able to gallop with my horse Pacho a couple times! We had a few stops for pictures and some snacks. If im ever in Medellín, I will book again without hesitation. Everyone was very welcoming. A perfect trip!

Absolutely must do. We loved our guides. Loved the horses. It was the right amount of time and the stops along the way were perfect. A stop to eat carrot cake, try local fruit, and drink a beer. We experienced cats, dogs, goats, geese, flowers, butterflies.... I cannot undersell how absolutely gorgeous the views are. Would do it again. 20/10

My first time horseback riding and I couldn’t ask for a better time. Ricardo and Joshua both provided an incredible experience. They truly live the life and love what they do. They love all their animals. The horses were well taken care of. The ride was adventurous and scenic. The stops were well spaced. It will truly be one of my most memorable moments from this entire trip.

This was a highlight of my Medellin trip! Ricardo and Joshua have great energy! The route through the mountains was so beautiful - the pine forest, passing by the river, and the greenery all around. The animals are clearly so loved and well-trained and I felt very comfortable riding with them. There was a few stops to allow the horses to rest - including one for photos at a scenic overlook & one stop for delicious carrot cake and beverages including fresh squeezed orange juice. The total riding time is about 3-4 hours long. Very pleasant time!

Amazing experience with beautiful views! We had Joshua and Javier as our guides and they were the best!! They really made the experience comfortable and were always ready to help. All the horses were great and you can really make the most of this experience depending on your comfortability. Definitely recommend wearing long pants and sneakers you don’t care to get dirty for this. Bring sunscreen as well!

Great to explore the beautiful nature around Medellin. Fit for first-timer and experienced. The tour takes about 4-5 hours, with 2.5 hours on horse back.

You start off by meeting up in a cute little cafe where you can grab a coffee or breakfast before the start of the adventure. It’s about a 20 min ride to the location. They chose horses based off of your riding experience. They have many many horses to choose from. You go through the mountains, through two creeks (which was so cool). The entire trip was about 4 hours with 1.5 hours of riding. Lots of stops along the way for pictures & you stop at this lady’s house where you get drinks & carrot cake. We were a family of four with small children and they were super patient, leading my smallest horse by rope. Very safe areas and the horses are well kept. I will say the groups are a bit large (about 30 people) so the stops for pictures/drinks etc take a little long. Didn’t matter though, we had fun, our kids had fun and anytime we return we would only be going to Ricardo’s ranch. 10/10 recommend.

We had an absolutely amazing horse riding experience in Caldas, about 30 minutes from Medellín. Joshua took such great care of us from start to finish and thoughtfully matched each of us with horses based on our experience levels. It was my first time riding, and both my teenage brother and I found it extremely easy and enjoyable. Once you learn how the horses respond to your body movements and signals, everything feels very natural and fun.
The trail itself is beautiful, and we were able to take photos along the way. We even stopped to enjoy some drinks, which made the experience feel even more special and relaxed. I wouldn’t recommend this for children under 17, but overall it was such a memorable and fun experience. They even have sombreros for sale so you can look the part while riding!

As a first time rider, I was pretty nervous but this was actually a really fun activity. I went solo, but there were many people, groups and couples that attended. The horses are all well-tamed and healthy. We rode for 4 hours. By the time I got home, I had some bruises on my legs so I'd highly recommend boots or jeans - no shorts! Overall, an amazing experience!

It was a super fun adventure for our whole family.
We all have been on horses before so that made it easy. Nevertheless for the ones on the tour that had never been known a horse before they were made very comfortable and good very well behaved horses.
You should definitely start your tour like they recommend by being early at the meeting point and get breakfast there. Going there was a bit trickier but be assured you’ll be fine!!
We love that all the horses and dogs all over were very well taken care off. You could clearly see that they are invested in the care and love of their animals. Not your traditional stable situation but again, trust the process. The views, paths and going through the small town was a great experience. The pit stop was also great. We were greeted with cold drinks ( beer for me please:) and the most delicious cake. I love that it was a couple of hours so not just a hop and off thing.
Joshua was awesome, passionate about the land and bringing people to nature. He also had great recommendations for other tours and activities for next time.

Fantastic experience! Riccardo and joshua were great. They explained how to stop the horse and make it go. They were accomodatibg and very helpful. The trial was beautiful and it was a great ride. There are placed on the route where you can trot or canter if you want to but don’t have to. They provider beverages and a small snack. It was definitely a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone who loves horse and wants to see the country side of Medellin while on horseback.

I could not be happier with our horseback experience! Our hosts were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating to each individual person’s needs and expectations. Ricardo and Gafas were patient in guiding and assisting beginner riders throughout the entire ride. They also gave some time for more experienced riders to gallop ahead for a while too. We never felt rushed nor pushed beyond our comfort level. We also were provided with a snack and were able to feed the horses a snack too! The views throughout the ride were absolutely spectacular. Overall it is a 10/10 experience and would recommend to anyone visiting Medellin.

Ricardo and Joshua were amazing guides! They made us feel comfortable the whole time, even as beginners. The horses were well cared for, the transportation was great, and the instructions were clear. The views were beautiful, the trail was fun, and riding through the river was unforgettable. The locals were very welcoming.
Highly recommend if you visit Medellín, this tour is a must!

This was the first activity I did here in Medellín, I came as a solo traveler & was with a small group. Joshua was our tour guide, super friendly and I felt very comfortable throughout the whole experience. He educated us on the region, the ranches, the beautiful horses/mules and different breeds. This was the best horseback riding I’ve ever done and the scenery is so beautiful along the ride. We even stopped for some delicious carrot cake and freshly squeezed orange juice! If you pass up on this, you’re missing out! BOOK THIS!

Riding with Ricardo was one of the highlights of my trip to Colombia! From the moment we started, I felt welcomed and immersed in the beauty of the countryside and the richness of Colombian culture. Joshua and Ricardo were fantastic. My friend was running late and they accommodated him and every way… The horseback ride was amazing…. And the stables it was a brand new baby pony that had only been born six hours previous that and the horseback ride itself was up through the mountain with beautiful scenery and then several times we got to walk through The on the horses through streams
