Andrea was fun, knowledgable and accommodating guide. The beginner salsa class was a chance meet and mix with locals; the bachata took place in a local park, very authentic.

I enjoyed the salsa night out , I absolutely liked my guide Sebastian!! He was nice and patient. The only downside was that I was the only one that booked the trip that evening , so I didn't like "bond" with others to feel free to ask random people to dance lol. But I had my private dancer Sebastian so I still had fun 💃🕺
I surely recommend this tour. I will go to Medellin again and could book again hopefully there'll be more guests lol

Great energy and fun learning the basics of salsa and bachata dancing. Going to the local dance socials was also great to see people dancing and practice the moves we learned. Highly recommend!

The first portion of the salsa lesson experience was a bit challenging because the instructor only spoke Spanish and didn’t really help those whose first time it was dancing or taking the lesson. I wish there was more opportunities for a lesson in the beginning. The next portion was fun with the live music but again we were a bit lost without direction.

This tour is absolutely worth going. The staff were highly organized and our tour guide, Andrea, was just wonderful. She was very attentive, and you can tell she was passionate about dancing. She showed genuine interest in making sure we had a great time and we did!
This tour isn't just a simple tour. You really will be immersed in the local scene and you will learn several dances, plus enjoy a fun night out afterwards.
Honestly, value for money is top notch! This is one of my favorite tours I took in Colombia and I would highly recommend this to everyone!

Recommendation: For the price, include a drink that isn’t a shot a aguardiente. Especially since the break consists of going to a rooftop bar.
The tour starts off with a class showing the basic fundamentals. If you do not speak Spanish, go to the front to make it easier to follow along.
The second portion is open dancing where everyone could jump in, rotate partners, and just enjoy the music. It was a mix of all levels—from first-timers to experienced dancers—and the vibe was super welcoming.

About the drink — totally understand! The aguardiente shot is an optional cultural touch we sometimes include, but it’s not a standard part of the experience. It was a very fun and nice time. It started out slow with lessons for absolute beginners. Then we transitioned to another venue with many more locals who dance at a high level, mainly salsa and bachata.
If not super comfortable with dancing with those at a higher level, it’s okay to end your night at the lessons, or you can continue to the next venue to watch and learn. If you have a higher level you can hop in with whoever! It’s cool because you stay as long as you want. Lessons are great for meeting international people, the next venue(s) great for meeting locals.

It was an awkward, overpriced event. We met at a public dance school (entry fee would have cost 12k pesos / 3 US-$) where there was a group intro session to salsa. It was very fast paced, in spanish and with a huge crowd (~50-60 people). Almost all the people there weren’t part of the tour we booked. It was hard to follow for us as beginners. The guide wasn’t really watching or helping us with the dancing here.
The guide also told us in the beginning that today there is a photographer following the group taking pictures for his websites (and I guess this events page).
After the intro session, we went to a rooftop bar. There was no salsa dancing there (actually there were no other people), we just had a drink (which was not included) and then the photographer took some pictures.
Then we already went to the last place which was a club. The music was better here and people were dancing. The guide also here was just enjoying himself and making sure some nice pictures were taken. For us it just felt a random night at a random club on our own. The guide also was constantly asking (already starting at the rooftop bar) if we were liking the tour.

I give it 5/5 because Ahmadi is super chill and super accommodating. I was by myself so whatever you want to do, he helps you out and tailors the tour for you. If you want Salsa, you stay at the salsa spot longer, if you want rooftop or reggaeton club, you go there longer. Definitely recommend! And he's a US military veteran living in Medellín! How cool is that!

Ahmadi definitely knows some of the best salsa and bachata dance spots in Medellin, as he is well connected to the community. The tour is also inviting and friendly.

This tour was a great experience, Ahmadi took me to places I wouldn’t have found on my own. I enjoyed the bachata class/performance and the bachata social afterwards at Nueva Guardia. He’s very social and laidback. Even though I was the only person on the tour, he still made sure I had a great night and enjoyed the tour to the fullest. I would 100% recommend this for anyone who’s more into dancing bachata and salsa.

Ahmadi is a great host. He organised everything so perfectly. It’s a great combination for dance, drink, game and social. I’m a solo traveller but he made me feel so comfortable. I would recommend this to everyone to Medellín to get a taste of night life and dance scene.

I had a wonderful night with Ahmadi. Although it was just me on the tour, he took the time to adjust the tour to my wishes and needs. Since the Salsa and Bachata experience Depends on the locations, most locations are only available on certain nights, he found something that helped me improve my skills.
If you book this tour it's the experience of learning or improving Latin culture, it's not a regular pub or party crawl.

This tour was amazing! Ahmadi was really friendly and informative. I learned that he has been a guide in the city and has himself been a part of the various dance scenes - salsa, bachata, kizomba, you name it. He knows the best spots for dancers from all levels and backgrounds and showed me the salsa side of Medellín. The venue we went to was vibrant and full of energy. Live music included too! I even got to dance with our tour guide Ahmadi 😁 100% recommend!!! If you’re in search of a dance plug in Medallo, look no further!
