Brilliant from start to finish. Pick up arrived on time, we had coffee/tea before the flight. Then once on the balloon the whole experience was faultless - Tom our pilot was fantastic. A reassuring presence, informative and friendly. We had a very smooth landing - having been a bit apprehensive after stories we’d heard from other people who have taken hot air balloon rides (not in Marrakech). Lovely, simple local breakfast in breath taking surroundings. Highly recommend Happy Ballooning Marrakech!

A memorable morning

While the ballon flight itself was very memorable and enjoyable, there were some hiccups in the event overall that have influenced my final rating. It wasn't clear when booking that you aren't airborne at sunrise, nor had it been mentioned in reviews when I booked. It's more obvious now but do take note of this. The pickup was 10mins late and once in the desert we made a stop at base camp which seemed to make us even later in reaching the balloon - the driver was speeding along the narrow road to make up for lost time, adding to our bewilderment of not already being in the air as the sun came up. The flight itself was very pleasant - the views and tranquility are very special and pilot Tom is very experienced and professional. We had what felt like a long journey back to the base camp for the breakfast which was adequate although limited in choice.

I can only recommend this tour. We were requested to reschedule the fligth 2 days later due to weather conditions but all went perfectly. Pick up was well managed and driver delay was also managed as I had no issue to reach the service provider. A drone was following us but did not had a chance to see the video to eventually buy it surprisingly. You will for sure enjoy this very secure fligth and appreciate the sunrise.

A fantastic experience! From the pickup to the on-site support and the subsequent breakfast, everything was superbly organized. The best part was, of course, the hot air balloon flight. We deliberately chose the second tour, which starts a little later. What we experienced was unique. After takeoff, we flew through the clouds and were greeted by the sun. Simply wonderful. Thanks to Tom, who always made us feel safe. I also found the equipment to be well-maintained, and the crew was courteous. Thanks again, Tom, it certainly wasn't my last flight with you. I'll be back! 😀

Got a chance to take something off of my bucket list. Truly an amazing experience. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Paid $300 MAD for a video from a drone. Awesome experience, and well worth the price of admission, The landing can be rough tho!

Horror experience

Driver picked us up late (25 min late), only to pick everyone up at speed (he ignored all the red lights and it was a very dangerous ride). Once arrived, the hot air balloon had just left (was full) and the sunrise had just begun. We were told that this was the intention and that we first got our breakfast, then took off. Which is strange because on the website it says the opposite. After breakfast we had to drive back a bit to be able to take off. There we tried to take off 3 times (we were already ready in the tray), but this turned out not to work because of too much wind or a defect? Other balloons did take off. So we got up so early for nothing. Very disappointing experience. Hopefully our refund will be okay.
