Wow, spectacular!! Our first hot air balloon ride and the views were really incredible. There were a lot of balloons around the foothills of the Atlas mountains, not in a bad/congested way but it made for some even better viewing as you ok silently drift watching the sunrise.
The whole trip was brilliant and worth the early start. Our driver, Abdul, was great very funny and friendly. Coffee/juice and pastry on arrival, then a short while later, you set back off again to wherever the weather has meant the balloons launch from. Interesting to watch the balloons inflate and then once you're in the basket, a short while later you're off in the air. Take off and landing incredibly smooth and effortless!!
Once we touched down, you get back in the vehicles and head back to camp for breakfast and mint tea, everything is incredibly well organised and 100% worth the money and the early rise to experience this.
Genuinely, one of the best trips/excursions we've ever done. Highly recommended!!

Make sure to organise your pick up with the company the day before and just go with the flow. Everyone is super nice and the sunrise balloon ride is just magical! Enjoy!

Very little information on arrival at first stop! A lot of waiting around while 20+minibuses arrived! No safety information given other than by pilot! Balloon trip 30mins but whole trip 5+hours! Both breakfasts good!

The most magical experience and worth the 4am start time
Captain Noor was lovely and was so informative the whole trip.
We could have worn more layers before and after but on the hot air ballon it’s surprisingly warm!!

The vendor DOES NOT provide a pick up time and doesn’t response to communication! I was literally ripped off for $120! My ticket said 0630am and driver showed up at 0430 with no warning. I jumped out of bed, threw on clothes and was downstairs by 0437 and the driver had already left.

Fantastic!! Went on the sunrise trip. Welcomed with hot drink and croissant. Taken to balloons and watched them inflate. Helped into basket and in the air for 40/45mins. Best time above the clouds - with the sun!! Back to a traditional breakfast (shoes must be removed) and a great trip!!

We got picked up from the hotel and then got dropped to the 'Marrakech by Air' area and you meet others and there is coffee and juice prepared and they brought out croissants. It was very cold! But they do provide some blankets but make sure you're dressed for it.
After they know where they will be flying from, you get back in your transport and get taking there.
They then start getting the balloons ready to fly. There is abut 15-20 people in the basket which has 4 sections.
Once you're up in the air, its very peaceful and you see the sunrise!
After the landing, you get picked up and taken back to the 'Marrakesh by Air' hub and there is breakfast prepared with Moroccan tea. Then after get dropped back to the hotel.

Be aware that they will change your departure time for their convenience... you will sit in the dark and cold for an hour. The baloon ride itself was great... just realize you will be "herded."

We would like to clarify that hot air ballooning requires an early departure time for safety reasons, not for convenience. Balloon preparation is a detailed and professional procedure that includes weather assessment, wind speed control, equipment inspection, inflation process, and full safety checks before takeoff. This cannot be done in ten minutes.
Ballooning is an outdoor adventure activity, and conditions before sunrise can naturally feel cool and dark. Guests are free to wait either inside the tent area or outside, depending on their preference.
Regarding the comment about being “herded,” we respectfully disagree. We have been operating for over 20 years, and every guest is treated with care and respect. Shared flights involve group coordination, which is normal for this type of experience, but safety and organization remain our top priorities.
We are happy that you enjoyed the balloon ride itself, as this is the heart of the experience.

Wow outstanding!!
My first time in a Hot air ballon and I would 100% go again. I didn't want to come down, the peace you feel up there is amazing.
Smooth and you didn't even feel lile you were off the ground.
It was a privilege to have Lina as our captain, the whole experience was well planned and brilliant.
If you go for the Sunrise trip check the temperature and make sure you dress in layers, it does get warmer when you are up in the air with the sun out but its only slight.

We went in January...great experience and lovely sunny days but at sun rise it is very cold whilst having breakfast which is great may I add .

The only saving grace of this experience was Captain Yannis.
Not great assistance or logistics - Split our group of 4 into 3 different balloons even after confirming multiple times we were together in the same balloon (and then blatantly ignored when trying to address the problem - a simple “sorry” or acknowledgement would have at least been expected - so clearly once they have your money they don’t care) and each had completely different experiences.
We were the last ones to take off yet the first ones to land while the others enjoyed a longer flight.
The others got their flight certificates from their pilot, we had to go around trying to find someone with information and finally got a certificate.
There isn’t great communication on where to go or what is happening and it felt like being herded from pillar to post.

Great experience for the whole family to enjoy. Was picked up at 5:30 and taken to coffee and sweets before getting on the hot air balloon, and then a great Berber breakfast after getting off the balloon. Lina our pilot was exceptional, she was extremely knowledgeable, while also very friendly and made the ride very smooth and enjoyable!

The hot air balloon, the pilot and the warm donut were the only good part of the experience. I do not recommend booking with this company. Communication was difficult from the beginning. They picked us up at 6:00 instead of 6:30 as advertised. We arrived at the site at 6:45 and then waited for an hour and a half until we left for the balloon launching site. They told us it we would be a 20 minute wait but it ended up being 90 minute wait (they announced in English and French which we speak). The breakfast was cold bread and there were birds on the table pecking at the uncovered bread. On the drive back the driver backed into something at the parking lot (I think a dumpster) and then seemed mad and drove even more aggressively the rest of the drive back to the city. I am also disappointed in Viator, I reached out to explain our issues, they contacted the company but said there was nothing they could do. We often use Viator and this is the first negative experience we have had. We will start with Klook, Get your Guide and Airbnb experience for future activities.

I chose this hot air balloon experience as a solo birthday treat and it exceeded every expectation. From the very first moment, the entire team felt like a perfectly choreographed force — warm, professional and genuinely passionate about what they do.
Floating through the sky was nothing short of magical. Lina was an exceptional pilot — calm, powerful and inspiring — and the music played while we were in the air added such an emotional, almost cinematic layer to the experience. It’s something I will remember for a lifetime.
From smooth operations to food and drink afterwards, every detail was handled beautifully. I couldn’t recommend this experience more highly — especially if you’re celebrating something special or travelling solo.

Outstanding experience from start to finish. Very special. We were in Marrakech in November and I would recommend wearing warm clothes as it is very cold early in the morning. The team who run this trip are very efficient - everything was perfect.

From an 05.30 pick up to dropping back to the hotel this was an excellent, value for money experience, not to be forgotten. Pre flight coffee and croissants next to open fires, excited dash to the launch area where we saw our balloon being fired up and inflated. Our pilot was a lovely, chatty and amusing host who was very informative. The flight... 16 people in the basket, just amazing and magical and so many balloons just hanging in the air watching the sun rise over the mountain. Could have stayed up there a lot longer just absorbing the whole experience. The Berber breakfast back at base was lovely, so much food, beautifully presented and thoroughly enjoyed in an authentic setting.
The whole experience was well worth getting up early for and took some lovely photos to keep as memories.
All excursion staff were very friendly and helpful. We would both recommend booking ... wow, just amazing!

A fantastic morning hot air balloon ride with Reda. I couldnt believe how smooth and relaxing the whole experience was, with amazing views of the Atlas mountains. Loved every second of it from pick up at our hotel to the meal afterwards- everybody was so friendly and we would highly recommend it!

Hubby's dream come true...well we were on Marrakech and I thought...great 🎁for his birthday !
We were not disappointed...transfer on time and great driver...coffee and croissants on arrival...then the balloon..omg...breathtaking..there are no words that can describe it... Captain Noor was fabulous too.
Back on land and a Berber breakfast, plenty to eat and ample mint tea...do it....you won't regret it!!!
