Absolutely loved this tour. I loved that Captain owen introduced himself to each of us and explained the day ahead. All the staff were so friendly. It has a really family feel to it with cheap food and drink to purchase! Not like these other big companies that charge a fortune!! The visit to the islands was fantastic. There was enough time at each of them and was the perfect amount of hours for the day. I would highly recommend these guys for a day out at sea!!

Great day, great day, great crew

Natalie_P, Sep 2025
Great day out at sea with stops along the way. Every stop was quite overcrowded with people but crew anchored at good spots to try and avoid the main crowds. Nice boat, good food and drink available and the crew were really lovely. We did the optional speedboat into the caves which was good fun

Top-Notch Tour!

I'm so glad I chose Seahorse Cruises over the other cruise companies that run a similar itinerary. This cruise had a much more chill and relaxed vibe than the other large "party" boats. Captain Owen and his crew were very professional, accommodating, and, most of all, friendly. As we set sail from Bugibba Jetty at 10:30 AM, Captain Owen provided commentary on the sights as we sailed up the coast. We even managed to maneuver the boat into a tight space right at the entrance of a sea cave—it was very impressive. The tour is broken into two separate groups, so make sure you book the appropriate group (A or B). For the first part of the tour, Group B was dropped off at Gozo to explore the island, while Group A stayed on board and sailed to Santa Marija Bay to either explore the beach or swim alongside the boat. After about an hour, Group A was dropped off at the Blue Lagoon at Comino. The boat then sailed off to gather Group B at Gozo and brought them back to the Blue Lagoon, where everyone was free to explore for a couple of hours. As we sailed back to St. Paul's Bay, Captain Owen continued to point out items of interest along the coast, and we arrived back at Bugibba Jetty around 5:30 PM. It was a perfect day sailing through the Maltese archipelago. Recommendations and Tips: - Make sure to arrive at the departure point well before the 10:00 AM check in time. - Get your QR code for the Blue Lagoon/Comino before the tour date. - Show the QR code to the staff at the jetty entrance to get the appropriate wristband before boarding. - Food and drinks are available on board after setting sail. Credit card payments are now accepted via Revolut. - TIP THE CREW! They work hard to ensure your enjoyment and comfort and deserve to be rewarded as such.

Amazing day!!!

Got on the boat before 10 am, beautiful boat, not the massive one. Sat on deck and enjoyed the breeze whilst listening to the great music and commentary from captain about the sights. Boat slowed down and got closer to the caves so you can take photos. The speedboat arrived to collect few of us.We paid for speedboat (30 min) at the start of the tour (optional) not for the fainthearted but it was fun! Adrenaline rush! It went inside few caves. Then back on the boat for Blue Lagoon. Bought food and drinks from our boat for our lunch and ate on the boat. Used the loo then walked to the blue lagoon 10 mins from our boat. Ideal if you have water shoes/ trainers instead of flip flops for walking to the beach, just take them off before stepping on knee/hip level water to get to the small enclosed beach carrying some bags. But once we got there, it was magical crystal blue waters to swim in and be refreshed esp with the heat. At 3.30, we walked back to the boat. Approx 2 hours spent in Blue Lagoon. The Captain and the crew were all very friendly and efficient. There was a smaller boat selling ice cream when we got back on the boat. If you have issue with balance then not recommended walking to the blue lagoon, it is a bit steep, rocky to go down the beach. The path is near the cliffs. Most of the people on the boat seem fine. I was a bit seasick, so take antisickness tab is you have prone to seasickness. My friend brought her snorkelling app. My teenage daughter enjoyed it too.

Great day

Lovely day. A bit confusing with tour A and B. Many of us did not know what we were doing and where we were going. I think clearer instructions in the morning from our Captain. But Captain Owen was very kind.

Great day out!

Emma_P, Sep 2023
Great day out. Captain and crew were lovely and welcoming and provided friendly and helpful service all day. A well organised tour with a good balance of just cruising and sightseeing, plus stops for swimming. Once on board we were given the option to add a side trip for 15 Euro - a 20 minute tour that went right inside some of the beautiful Comino caves on a smaller boat, and then a very fun speedy ride over to Gozo to join the main boat again. We took this option up and were glad we did - it was a great addition. All up this was a great day on a good sized and comfortable boat - smaller and way less packed than many of the others we saw. Also liked that the vibe of this boat is deliberately quieter than the other 'drinking and party' boats. There is music playing but it's very chill. At the blue lagoon it also parks away from the very packed area and gives you the option to walk over there for your swim if you really need to say you swam in the blue lagoon, or to walk to a much quieter but still crystal clear water beach for a more relaxed swim. We looked at a few options before booking this trip and felt this was good value for the price we paid. Just one tip - the food on board is very limited, so recommend you take your own picnic/snacks like we did :-)

Amazing boat and crew

Shannyn_D, Aug 2023
Went on this boat with my family and all 5 of us had a great day. The boat was really beautiful and the captain and crew were amazing. The sites they take you to are incredible, well thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. Especially the caves

We had our doubts when we saw the crowded boat, but it turned out to be quite a good day

We were somewhat surprised that at 30 mins before our cruise was expected to start (10:30am), we arrived at the wharf and a substantial number of people were already on the boat and there was quite a queue lined up to get on. Our viator ticket had not made mention of the need to board at least 30 minutes ahead of departure but clearly some passengers were aware of the need to be there earlier than the time indicated on the ticket. Our first thought was that we would never fit on the boat. As we watched the boarding process we could see that regardless of requests to sit in the shaded area of the deck (as we hoped to do), people ahead of us were directed to the front of the boat which already looked very crowded. Being fair-skinned Australians we had concerns about getting very sunburnt. However, we were fortunate to be among the last to get on board as we were directed to the shaded area. Soon we were underway and the actual sailing experience was very pleasant. Nice breeze, intermittent direct sun and an opportunity to see and do all that was promised. The views were amazing and commentary competent. We stopped at Gozo and about 40% of the group got off as they had paid for an extra tourist leg to Victoria for a few hours (we could see they were picked up in minivans). This immediately lightened the crowded boat which had not been as bad as expected. We then proceeded to Santa Maria Bay and docked there. Obviously, the beaches here are different to Australia (no lovely fine white sand), but we also don't have such beautful blue/turquoise water. We could walk around to the beach area, swim in the beautiful water which was lovely. There were toilets (relatively clean) and showers to rinse off afterwards. Re-boarding about 90 mins later, we then sailed around to Blue Lagoon (on the other side of Comino) after purchasing a freshly made chicken wrap and coke on board. The passengers were then given the option of staying on board and sailing back to Gozo to pick up the passengers who had gone to Victoria or get off and swim at Blue Lagoon. We chose to stay on and travel to Gozo and back which didn't take long. Once back at Blue Lagoon, which was beginning to look very crowded with boat after boat arriving and disgorging passengers who then had to walk some distance to the swimming area, we decided to stay on board and rest. We also could swim off the side of the boat, if we wished. Tempting, but decided no. The stop at Blue Lagoon seemed a little long (in total - 2.5 hours) but other passengers seemed happy enough to spend that time. We left Blue Lagoon at about 3:30 and arrived back at St Paul's Bay at about 4:45. A long day but most people seemed happy. We had our doubts initially when we saw the crowded boat and very little shade on board but it turned out to be quite a good day with some choices that suited us.

Very nice friendly captain and crew, they are really helpful. The boat was nice and clean you can have sort of pirate boat experience. Food and drinks are really cheap in the boat. We enjoyed our trip very much. Highly recommend
