Our tour guide, Nuno, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He took us to places that were off the beaten path that we could never find on our own. Lunch was spectacular at a tiny cliff side locals only place…worth every Euro!

We had an amazing day touring the island with Nuno! He is super knowledgeable and passionate about the island and took us to so many amazing places during our tour. Nuno was the PERFECT guide!! I am the type who likes to plan every last minute of my trip so it was tough to give that up and trust in another but boy am I glad I did! His passion for the country and island shows thru and together you’ll see parts of the island you’d never find on your own. My favorite part was lunch where Nuno guided us through the menu. A great off the beaten track tour - no crowds but still fabulous places to stop. Informative, friendly and knowledgable with the right level of content. A nice mix of walking to see the sights and driving. Stopped for the best poncho we’ve had and a lovely place for lunch - no frills but great food. Would highly recommend as nothing too much trouble for Nuno

We loved our day out with Nuno. He took us to some beautiful spots along small backroads - all places we would never had discovered by ourselves. We had several stops for short walks. Nuno selected a local lunch spot on the north coast with a great view and delicious food. We stopped again later for dessert & coffee at another spot with a spectacular lookout over the coast. Across the day Nuno shared interesting commentary about the history and culture of Madeira, as well as useful tips for the rest of our stay. We would highly recommend this private tour as an option to anyone wanting to see as much of the island as possible with only a few days!

This tour is the best way to see Madeira! Nuno is an excellent guide, who's very knowledgeable about the island and who takes pride at what he does. He showed us a few truly amazing places that none of your typical "touristy" tours will show you.
We ate excellent food, had interesting conversations and both my wife & I enjoyed every minute of this mini adventure. Our only regret is that we didn't find Nuno at the beginning of our trip, so he could show us even more hidden gems of this amazing island!
We will certainly be back soon; booking another tour with Nuno will be the first thing to do, even before booking flights & hotel.

We booked this tour and that was the best decision ever!! I wish I could give 10 stars, 5 is not enough. Nuno is amazing. He is knowledgeable, punctual, very well informed, kind, funny and friendly. He made sure we had an amazing day and showed us many places we wouldn’t have been able to see otherwise. His Mercedes van was very spacious and spotless clean. He took us to a few local spots for food and drinks and everything was out of this world delicious. He also recommended a few more local restaurants that we enjoyed for the rest of our trip. We loved Madeira and definitely Nuno had a big role to make our vacation memorable. I still think about it every day! We will definitely be back and ask Nuno to take us to more adventures in the beautiful island. If you are debating on this tour, definitely go for it, you would be so happy you did!!

Nuno was amazing!!
He showed us all of the best parts of Madeira and brought us to the best local cafe in Porto Da Cruz. Unfortunately, my mom injured herself on our trip and had a fall at one of the waterfalls but Nuno was quick to save the day and got us the medical help we needed. He even waited for her to finish up at the clinic that night and drove her to the pharmacy then back home♥️ We can’t thank you enough Nuno! A new friend, we will be back and see you soon!!!! Especially to drink the Poncha again.

My husband and I booked this private tour with Nuno after making a last minute decision to fly to Madeira for two nights. We knew we were short on time and wanted to maximize our island experience and with Nuno as our guide, that’s exactly what we got! His communication prior to the tour was excellent and he was prompt and flexible with our schedule. He is exactly our type of tour guide as he goes with the flow and adjusts the itinerary based on your individual needs! We gave him an idea of what we were looking to get out of the day and let him take us to the best spots and viewpoints, avoiding big crowds and busses of tourists! We traveled on narrow roads which we would not have been confident navigating on our own and had the opportunity to see the authentic Madeira that we wanted to. Nuno has a great love for the island and it was evident in his passionate lessons on the political and agricultural history as we toured throughout the day. He introduced us to fresh Poncha (a local Madeiran drink) and the lunch spot he picked was superb. Best muscles and octopus we’ve ever had!! As he said in the beginning, he has no set itinerary, he just moves based on our vibe… this was evident when we spotted a local swimming spot with spectacular views after lunch and he ran to get the car with our swimsuits so we could jump in and enjoy a swim! It was truly the highlight of our day! He took us to so many picturesque places that would have taken us days to find ourselves. We truly feel like we got the most out of our time in Madeira and would highly recommend this tour to first time visitors. It’s the best way to get out of Funchal and really fall in love with this diverse island. Our only regret is that we couldn’t book him for one more day (or more)! Nuno is AMAZING! Wow! What a fabulous way to explore Madeira. We enjoyed every minute of our tour with Nuno and learned so much about the island, its history and people. The scenery was simply breathtaking and our private car with glass roof provided comfort and great views. Nuno’s knowledge and love for the island made the tour a fun interesting experience. Nothing was too much trouble for him. On the day of our tour the weather changed for the worst and halfway through the day it was raining heavily, and the views were poor. Nuno suggested that we abandon the rest of the tour and agreed to continue the tour at no extra cost two days later when the forecast was good. This is exactly what we did, and we were rewarded with a bright sunny day and wonderful clear views. Thank you Nuno! A great solution and very much appreciated.

I visited Madeira for my honeymoon.
If there was one experience I loved the most about my visit there, that will hold the most delightful memories, it would have to be the incredible tour by Nuno. Absolutely incredible day. We booked a very short, last minute trip to Madeira from Oporto for my husband's birthday. We had one full day in Madeira, traveling with a 2.5 year old, and decided to splurge on a private tour to see as much as we could (without bothering other people with a toddler). We are not normally private tour people, so this was a new experience for us. Nunno was a stellar host. He was flexible with his time, and really went to great lengths to make sure we got the most out of the single day. Madeira sells itself, but Nunno made it accessible to us and welcomed us to the island. We barely saw any other tourists and really felt like we saw the best of the island. Lunch was fantastic. I wasn't sure going into it that such a short trip would be worth it, but with Nunno's help, it really was. We have a place to go back to (can't wait to get back to and spend more time there!), and someone we would reach out to again instantly when we do.

Amazing ! Just amazing ! What a wonderful experience. Nuno loves the island of Madeira and by the time you are done with the tour you understand why . If we could leave 10 stars, we would!! Nuno was such an outstanding tour guide and we appreciated his communication, expertise and knowledge about this absolutely stunning island!! He went above and beyond to make our time in Madeira, everything we wanted it to be and more. I was traveling with my mother and sister and we were on a cruise that stopped in Funchal and had very limited time to see the island. Nuno was fantastic about communicating with us about what we wanted to do and even arranged to pick us up earlier to make sure we had as much time as possible to explore Madeira! He took us to the most beautiful locations and was so informative about the people, food and history of Madeira. We were so comfortable in his vehicle and my mother who is deathly afraid of heights, was impressed with his driving and he even manged to make her comfortable enough to venture out on the walkway at Cape Girado! He gave us ample time to take pictures and treated us to the local drink of choice, ponchas. We appreciated his vehicle and the panoramic roof to see the scenery and to get some outstanding pictures! If you are going to Madeira, Nuno is the person to show you around! Outstanding service, vehicle and person!! Thanks again Nuno!! You were amazing and I truly hope I will be back to Madeira to do more exploring sooner than later!!

I would give Nuno 10 Stars if I could! Our family of four had an amazing full day tour of Madeira with Nuno. He picked us up from where we were staying near Funchal, and brought us to views and hikes and sights we never would have gotten to on our own. From the rustic mountain cafe for an espresso to start our trip, to the drive up the switchbacks through the piney woods, to being above the clouds, then down again at sea level for a fabulous lunch at a family run restaurant—and that was just the first half of the day! Nuno has a wealth knowledge about Madeira, the landscape, all of the different areas. To top it off, he is a wonderful person and great conversationalist. He is a professional photographer as well, and you will receive photos from him after your tour, which adds such a special touch. I would recommend Nuno first and foremost to anyone—he’s first class all the way!

Since we were in Madeira for the first time, we can highly recommend this island tour. Not only did Nuno provide us with very interesting facts and information about the island, culture and gastronomy but also led us to a delicious lunch together at a local restaurant. He was very responsive to our wishes. An all-round very informative day trip on which we unfortunately had to cancel already booked trips again as many repetitions were included. Die Tour war von vorne bis hinten auf unsere Bedürfnisse zugeschnitten. Nuno ist ein sehr kluger und belesener Führer, der uns neben all den Dingen, die wir gesehen haben, auch mit viel Information über das Land versorgt hat. Der ganze Tag war mit dem richtigen Maß gestaltet: viel Abwechslung, immer wieder kurze Spaziergänge zu zweit, Pause mit tollem Essen und Trinken, bequeme und sichere Fahrt, wir haben Dinge gesehen, die wir alleine nicht gefunden hätten. Nuno hat sich total um uns bemüht, schnell erkannt, wie wir ticken, nicht auf die Zeit geschaut, sondern wollte uns viel bieten. Wir kommen sicher wieder nach Madeira, bringen Freunde mit und haben mit Nuno schon den nächsten Ausflug avisiert.
