Al was such a great tour guide. Every one of the other guests were kind. We were 7 minutes late but they waited for us since we got a bit lost getting there. The tour itself is personal, detailed, and Al clearly does his research! We got really emotional while walking the steps of our musical heroes. Such a great experience. Totally recommend it!

Incredible Tour and Time Spent with Al

Bruce_F, Apr 2026
Al and the British Music Tour were absolutely incredible. If you are debating this tour or debating doing it with another tour guide, by all means book this tour. This was one of the highlights of our trip to London. We learned so much music history, Al was incredibly kind and engaging to all of the people on the tour, and he was extremely funny. It felt like you were walking around the city with friends. I learned so much and could truly spend the day listening to Al and all of his music knowledge. I would give higher than 5 stars if I could on the review. Absolutely incredible tour!

Rock & Roll!

Fab Rock N Roll Stroll

Matthew_E, Apr 2026
Absolutely terrific Rock N Roll history tour around SoHo - from the guitars and amps to the recording studios and pubs favored by many of rock and roll’s legends. Our tour guide Callum was amazing in bringing it to life with his storytelling, singing and humor.

It's around busy streets so not good for young children. Otherwise, really interesting and a great way to spend a morning.

Truly awesome tour of music's best secrets?

Lulu_M, Mar 2026
It's a truly magical tour that gives some of the best Rock and Roll stories I've ever heard!! Alan was absolutely amazing! So knowledgeable, so funny and a born entertainer. There seems to be nothing he doesn't know about music! He was so friendly and involved everyone which was amazing. We did the tour for my 50th birthday and he certainly took the edge off my misery!! Can't recommend this tour highly enough! Absolutely amazing and will definitely go again.

Very interesting, Personal and fascinating! We loved hearing about musicians we grew up with, and Walking around Soho

If these Soho walls could talk… luckily Henry does.

I’m a little late writing this review, but it’s been on my mind ever since! I ended up booking this tour very last minute after my flight home was cancelled, and I’m so glad I did! it was easily one of the best walking tours I’ve ever been on. London is full of hidden gems that you’d walk straight past without even realising their significance, and this tour brings them to life in such a thoughtful and engaging way. Henry was an exceptional guide. He was friendly, genuine, and brought such great energy to the group. What stood out to me most was how intentional he was about making everyone feel comfortable taking the time in between stops to chat and connect with people. It created a really relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. His knowledge was unreal. A deep insight into London’s rock history, from the pubs where legends used to sink pints to those tiny venues that hosted the most iconic early gigs. We covered so many influential bands and artists. **special mention to Henry’s sprinkle of British humour that made the storytelling even more enjoyable. For a few hours, I was able to switch off from everything going on in the world and just immerse myself in the music history of the city. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone with even a passing interest in rock music. it’s something really special :)

Great way to spend a morning in London!

Vicky_B, Mar 2026
Tom was a great guide! He had lots of energy and great stories. He didn’t walk too fast or too slow and engaged with everyone in our group so we all felt a connection with Tom and the musical history of the area. I recommend Tom and the Rock n Roll tour for something just a little bit different than other London walking tours.

Take This Tour Even If You Think You’ve Seen It All!

Julie_D, Mar 2026
Booked the tour as a group activity for old and new friends, all of whom have a love for rock and history. Al did not disappoint! His tour stops and extensive knowledge of the lore and legends of London rock history surprised and satisfied even our group members who thought they already “knew it all”. As the organizer, I enjoyed seeing the delight on the faces of each of my friends as Al led us through the streets and through history with deep knowledge and the ability to engage in discussion on virtually every question asked of him. Even our friends who are local truly enjoyed their experience. Al also does a masterful job of getting everyone in the group to know a little bit about one another at the start, which added to the experience as we were able to have interesting sidebar conversations as we walked between sites. Bravo, Al!

The Truly Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour

Ronan_H, Mar 2026
This was an outstanding experience on all fronts, I cannot praise it highly enough. Firstly, in error I actually showed up a day early for the tour and they were so accommodating. There was no trouble facilitating us that day. The tour itself was everything I had hoped for, and more. Our guide Al was a joy to spend time with. The only thing that topped his exceptional level of knowledge was his boundless enthusiasm. We visited so many legendary places, taking in sites significant to The Beatles, The Stones, Bowie, The Who, and Hendrix to name but a few. I must again thank Al for showing us a site dedicated to the legendary Kirsty MacColl. It meant a lot to a huge Fairytale of New York fan. If you take this tour it will almost certainly increase your classic rock knowledge. I'm one of those insufferable know it alls who accrues a large amount of trivia on all of my favourite pastimes. But the depth of Al's knowledge was mightily impressive. He imparted tales of legend that blew my mind, the highlight being an incendiary piece of lore about Keith Richards. I would recommend this experience to any music fan. I had a great time chatting with Al whilst walking between to the various sites. He's a proper expert and an absolute gentleman.
