We learned so much from our guide. He was very knowledgeable of the history of London music, artists and places. Such amazing history here in England.

Great afternoon cruising around London with 3 short stops! Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful in getting us to our next destination after the tour. Very enjoyable experience!

Super-comfortable bus ride, chock full of interesting rock legend info, replete with site-specific anecdotes and more! Loved spending the afternoon on Ian Luck's tour!

The wealth of knowledge from the guide was unbelievable. There are not a lot of stops so a lot of the tour you are mainly inside the vehicle and the guide is kind of narrating as you go. Some of the spots are more so passing by - which worked out for me! - but just to give a heads up. We did get to go inside Abbey Rd studios and this was a highlight because I was able to buy a book about the history of the studio itself. And the actual abbey road crossing is quite busy but our tour guide has been training for this his whole life because somehow he got the perfect shot of me crossing with nobody in the background even though it felt like I was constantly inside a crowd. 10/10 on the photo skills which is honestly so appreciated when you are solo traveling. He also had these pictures of different bands with his info on them that he gave to us depending on who we were interested in. It was a nice touch.

This tour was very worth it. Our guide, Clive, was fantastic. He seemed to know everything about the British rock music scene. He even filmed us walking across Abbey Road! Learned a lot and had a great time doing it.

Super fun tour through London’s iconic neighborhoods that are the homes and hangouts to the world’s biggest music legends. Our guide, Ian, has great personal and professional knowledge of the area’s inner secrets and sanctums. If you love music and the people who made (make) it, you’ll love this tour. Highly recommend!

Wow!!!!! I would give the Legends of Rock tour 10 stars if I could. This tour was way more than I expected. Ian was the BEST tour guide for this experience. He was friendly, knowledgeable, engaging, and connected with each passenger on the tour. Our driver Matty was one in a million and I give him so much credit for driving the streets of London with expertise and patience. While I enjoy music but this tour was not my selection, it was for my mother a Beatles super fan and 60s music lover the Legends of Rock tour ended up being my favorite activity we did in London. Go on this tour, you will love it!

It is Fantastic! We had the best guide.
Paul McCartney was at Abbey Road studio that day. While he slipped out back, we saw his son James McCartney! We stepped back in time.
We Highly recommend this Tour!
Colin was our Awesome guide, ask for him!

First, the tour started 20+ minutes late (due to another tour company, not Viator) and several groups never arriving because of a change in starting locations.
The guide, Clive, would start speaking clearly but then mumble. (We’ve had several other UK tour guides this week and did not experience this.).
Clive spoke a lot but often didn’t provide much information. He would often refer to something “over there” but not identify whether it was to the left or right and we were unable to determine what he was referring to. We were in the middle of the bus, and I’m sure others behind us also had issues with this. He focused on the first several rows of guests.
We were on a large, half full motor coach which with the tour route, was difficult for the driver to maneuver. A smaller bus for this tour and group would have been much better.
The best part of the trip was the Abbey Road crossing, which the guide handled well.
We have been on many Viator tours (including 10 from this trip), but this was the most disappointing.

Viator always changes places of pickup and time. Took my money and never got to go on the tour due the copious emails rather than a phone call. Tried to work it out on the phone, no go. Asked for a supervisor, not available. Total ripoff.

I had a great afternoon with Ian and his minibus. He knows a lot about rock and roll, and is a very enthusiastic guide. I learned a lot and saw many interesting places in London.

It’s a great way to get a good sense of some rock legends history. The guide was very informative.
Well worth it!
**Just note that the pick up point and end point are in different locations.
As a tourist, I would have it end the same place it started. That’s the reason for 4 stars.

Overall a great experience. Visited with my 75+ year old father and loved everything about the Beatles and the Stones, with Abbey Road being a highlight, and the story of Brian Epstein placed in proper context being another wonderful feature. The tour was a little longer than expected. So we have to leave early in order to make a appointment. But the operator, Clyde was very accommodated. Make sure we visited the great studio for some albums recorded. The punk rock areas of Chelsea, and the interesting story of Hendrix’s death, were also really great. Only because I’m a UK music aficionado, I would have liked some more stories about 70s Progressive Rock, New Wave, Post Rock (eg Radiohead), Ska/Reggae, but I understand there’s only so much time. Overall Clive was very engaging as an operator. Any music lover would be well served to take this tour.

The tour was wonderful! Clive is so knowledgeable and he made the whole experience fun!
We did so much more than I imagined with lots of time to take pictures. And he even took our phones at Abbey Road so we all got individual pics of us crossing the famous crosswalk.
Thank you, Clive and Ben too for maneuvering the bus so well!

You primarily get history and see bars musicians hung out just quickly passing by places. I was hoping for more of a walking tour of bars they played in but we did get out for Abby Road and Beatles mementos shops. Tour operator was friendly and knowledgeable.

What a great tour! Ian shared a wealth of knowledge about Rock and Roll in Britain. Lots of fun stops and great pictures crossing Abbey Road. Bus driver was amazing! Saw areas of London that we would not have seen!
Steve_t, Apr 2026
Tour required some bus hop on hop off. Minimal walking is needed. Well informed host with a well designed and detailed agenda about London’s 60-80’s rock history. Including references to Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, and punk music and fashion.
Cara_S, Apr 2026
The Rock’n’Roll Tour with Ian was absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, we enjoyed every second of it. What really made the experience special was Ian himself – his open, humorous, and passionate personality turned the tour into something truly unique. You can immediately tell how much he loves what he does, and his stories, knowledge, and energy completely drew us in.
The mix of fascinating insights, entertaining anecdotes, and the overall great atmosphere was just perfect. It wasn’t just a tour, it was an experience we’ll remember for a long time. Highly recommended!
Sumer_S, Apr 2026
our tour guide was great and enthusiastic about the stories of music. Other travelers need to be aware if there is protests or marches happening as it can cause problems with the tour.
Teresa_B, Apr 2026
Lucky our guide was extremely knowledgeable and had wonderful stories to tell nd we saw way more than expected
Jill_C, Apr 2026
From the moment we started Ian shared a wealth of information, anecdotes and trivia with us, pointing out landmarks around London and passing out pictures of the various artists taken at the sites we were passing. The tour included a few stops where we got off the bus to stretch our legs and explore or take photos. We had a great driver, as well, and a very comfortable bus. Great tour for rock and roll fans!
Marc_S, Apr 2026
Fun informative tour on many Brit rockers. A lot of where they located and some fun facts about their lives in London.
Steve_B, Apr 2026
It’s a great tour if you’re interested in London rock history. If rock music doesn’t mean that much to you, you’ll probably be bored. Clive was our guide. Very knowledgeable and very personable.
Michelle_F, Apr 2026
Very informative tour we made lots of stops and were told many different stories along the way music was played on the bus. The tour guide and bus driver were very helpful and friendly.
John_S, Mar 2026
Bus crew was very indifferent to passenger's comfort or convenience. Failure to properly communicate pickup location during a period of inclement weather was absolutely avoidable.
Shelene_S, Mar 2026
I treated my husband to this trip for his birthday. He is an ardent Beatles fan and throughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you to Ian and Gok for a great afternoon
Robert_W, Mar 2026
It was fantastic
Ian “Lucky” was amazing, his knowledge of music incredible. The tour was so full of rock and roll highlights, but also many many “touristy” highlights.
We would recommend it to anyone travelling as their first option.
David_W, Mar 2026
Ian is knowledgeable about rock and about London’s places and characters. A great way to see the city and hear tales.
