Was a terrific guide! Made sure everyone was heard and understood while bringing insightful information and answering everyone’s questions. Would highly recommend if you are looking for someone that’s not only knowledgeable but also passionate about history and culture.

We almost didn’t get through security because we only had a barcode, not a QR code on our ticket. Aside from that, Elisabeta was wonderful in her knowledge and in navigating the crowds.

Very bad information! We have tried to contact viator by email and el. without any response.
No information about the meeting point, no information that is a free entrance for the Museum.
We got a message on Whatapp..which where didnt expect to get there after our other attempts to know the meeting point.
As a result we missed the guided tour!

I am travelling with my family. We reached the venue a bit late (around 7-8 mins late) because of my mother who has slight difficulty in walking due to knee pain. The tour guide Elizabeth called me and said that she cannot wait. We said that fair enough and to start the tour and we will join her. She shared the cordinates. Inspite of repeatedly asking, she did not share the gallery name or which room she is. We searched for her for more tha half an hour hoping to join the tour. She just messaged stating that she is in some other room and cannot come and get me. I asked her to share the details of where she was so that we can catch up but she did not share any further communication
Even the British museum staff was kind enough to try to help us but due to lack of information, he was not able to help.
Really regret booking this tour. Money wasted. We request a refund considering that we never joined the tour and not for the lack of trying.

My guide to the British Museum was Joe - Living in London I have visited the museum many times over the past 40 years but I decided to take this tour for a greater understanding of the objects I was to see on the day. Frankly, I have been on many tours world wide and I have to report that Joe was a simply outstanding guide with a very personable and polite manner and an enthusiastic commitment to sharing his comprehensive knowledge of the history of the objects we visited. He does not deserve 5 stars but 10! Thank you Joe.

There was zero communication from the tour operator until the day before the prepaid tour. The first message I received was an external link requesting additional payment for a tour that was already fully paid. This raised serious red flags and felt unsafe, so I reported it to Viator immediately. Viator declined to issue a refund.
Suggest that travelers proceed with caution. Caveat emptor.

To keep 4 kids this interested for 2 hours you have to be very good at your job.

Our guide was a little hard to hear, with all the background noise of others and other competing tour guides. We had taken other Viator tours in Amsterdam where we had individual hearing receivers.

After I confirmed and paid for my British Museum tour I started getting flooded flooded with emails from WhatsApp and on the day of the tour I receive no text or email or WhatsApp and five minutes before the tour started all of a sudden I get flooded with text from WhatsApp and there was no one to meet us at the British Museum. There was no tour guide. There was no flag stating that this was VA tour tour guide. This is a total sham do not buy anything from this website. They are scammers to the max. These people are a bunch of thieves. I will never use this website for a guided tour again.

We arrived about 9.30 am waited for about 15-20 minutes in Great Russell Street where tickets stated would be met by our guide, no one turned up and after asking security at the British Museum we were redirected to the back of the Museum - Montague Street, where we waited for another 1/2 hour, asking around and tried several times to ring mobile number listed, but disconnected and by this time 10.30 am, where we just went into the Museum on our own to look around for a couple of hours.

Our guide Paul communicated clearly when and where to meet. It was so easy to get in. He was super knowledgeable and he led us around to see all the top artifacts in the museum before it got too crowded. He gave the perfect amount of context and background. This was the best way to see the museum and I have recommended it to family and friends.

Poor communication. Meet time was at 10 am and doors open at 10. By the time we made it to the main entrance stairs took 15 min to get inside. With no tour guide to be found and no pick up from phone.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and very passionate about the subjects she was talking about. She also made sure that the tour group was at the front of the line to get into the museum when it opened.
The only issue we had was that the tour scheduled for an hour and a half lasted more than two hours. At one point she told me that she needed 10 more minutes but it was at least 25 minutes to the end. This played havoc with our planning for the rest of the day.

Information on meeting point was to vague and museum people directed you to other locations. We had no photo of the guide. We were looking for a sign that said Viator but the guide had a flag that said Universal Tour Guide which we fortunately asked her if she was the one that we were supposed to meet. She confirmed it was.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable on the museum and it's contents. she was soft spoken and it was difficult to hear her at times. Also we had three other additional people in our group which I was under the impression that it was going to be for my wife and I
