DO THIS TOUR!

I was blown away by this tour. Two friends and I decided to go to Peru and we thought a tour would be the best way to keep up organized. We never once regretted selecting this tour. Alvero and carlos were the best and did the absolute most to introduce us to Peruvian culture. There is both guided time and free time in this tour, so we were able to explore on our own as well. We also loved the amazon lodge we stayed at. So many awesome memories. Book this tour!!

A million WOWS

Loved every moment of being in Peru. Our guide and diver were kind and well informed. The amazon was amazing but know that there is no power at night (I think it was 10pm-8am). This means no fans. I wish I came a bit more prepared for this part of the trip.

Highly reccommend this tour. Roma from Cultural Immersion, the tour operator, took every care to make this holiday memorable for me and my wife. We communicated by Whatsapp before the trip. We do not speak spanish and so depended on our excellent guide Danny. He is well read and proud of his heritage and gave an unique perspective on the Andean life through the ages. Thanks Danny. By the second day in Cusco, with Danny's help, I could look at a building and estimate when the Incas had first constructed it and what it's initial purpose was by seeing the type of stone foundation and then identify the spanish construction over it. What the different head gear signified and so much more. I caught a flu and was not active for the first 3 days after reaching Cusco. Danny made sure that our physical activity was tailored to our ability. Cultural Immersion is the apt name. Highly recomend this tour. The van driver was great. Place of stay was fine. We travelled in December and as it was off season, there was no crowd and we had an amazing time in both Cusco and in Machu Picchu. The weather was perfect. There is no obesity in the Andean hills as we have to move up or down with every step. Felt we had over prepared for the Amazon Jungle trip. There is no need for special shoes as they provide gumboots till size 44. Disposable inexpensive plastic Ponchos are available at the lodge. Picked up a Claro sim card at the Lima airport ,this helped as my Vodaphone international roaming did not work in Peru. Some of my fellow travellers mentioned that there is an issue with their flights getting cancelled at the last minute. Roma had arranged for web check in and in every place we stayed, the boarding passes were handed over to us by the hotel staff, for the next flight. This was weird as we are used to doing this on our own in India. We spent the last day in Lima at the Larco museum. This tied the different experiences together. Strongly recommend this trip.

My friends and I had an incredible time in Peru, thanks to everyone at Cultural Immersions! Our guides, Alvaro and Manuel, were very knowledgeable, engaging, and personable, and they incorporated the perfect balance of tours, excursions, and time for us to explore or relax on our own. Our drivers, particularly Percy, were excellent at navigating some challenging terrain and made us feel safe at all times. Sandra, Brian, and Bente were very helpful and accommodating in our email correspondences as we prepared for our trip. We were very impressed with how seamless and stress-free they made everything for us. I would definitely use Viator again and recommend to anyone looking to travel abroad!
