Unless you hold a motorcycle licence and are competent riding a motorbike/scooter with a pillion passenger, I would strongly discourage anyone from booking this tour. The tour description is extremely misleading, as in reality it involves a very demanding 120km route which includes many tight hairpin bends. After struggling to negotiate the difficult roads, we contacted the office asking for assistance but were told that they could not do anything until after the office closed at 7pm and it would cost us 200 euros. We reluctantly continued but unfortunately lost control of the scooter and incurred a bill of 550 euros for the damage caused. I should point out that we had not been offered any additional insurance before setting off, but even if we had, the excess was 600 euros! When we contacted Viator about our concerns, they were not interested!
We have used Viator many times on our holidays all around the world, but will most certainly be using one of their many competitors for all future trips/experiences. Interestingly, one of their competitors, 'Getyourguide', offer exactly the same tour using the same provider, however their tour is £10 cheaper and they also specify in two separate sections of the tour details that ‘scooter or motorbike riding experience is absolutely required’. I think this says it all really!

Thank you for your review. This is another opportunity for us to remind everyone: please do not rent scooters or buy scooter tours if you do not have experience in driving a motorcycle or scooter. The necessity of driving experience is also clearly stated in the tour description.
The tour route runs along the shores of Lake Garda, not the Arabian desert. Therefore, it has a lot of turns, ascents and descents. However, the route is not difficult for those with sufficient driving experience. This is evidenced by hundreds of positive reviews from our customers. We sell about 3000 tours a year and negative reviews are extremely rare.
Information about additional insurance is provided to each customer. If you wish to dispute this, we can provide a recorded video taken in the office.
And you are wrong: there are no other companies on Lake Garda that organize tours in the same way as Motoragzzi.

I had an amazing time on a self-guided Vespa tour around Lake Garda! The freedom to explore at my own pace, combined with stunning lake views and charming villages, made it unforgettable. The Vespa was easy to handle, and the provided routes ensured I saw all the highlights. Highly recommended for a perfect mix of adventure and beauty!

L'expérience de se balader en Vespa autour du Lac est exceptionnelle. Toutefois, il est préférable d'avoir une certaine expérience de conduite en moto ou en Vespa, ce qui n'était pas notre cas. Nous avions seulement roulé en "scooter" sur une route peu achalandé. Du côté ouest, il y a beaucoup de tunnels et les routes sont sinueuses. Il faut donc être plus expérimentés que nous l'étions pour conduire une Vespa sur ces routes. Nous avons toutefois adoré notre journée malgré quelques frousses sur la route. Il faut aussi savoir que l'application qui peut être achetée pour un trajet particulier ne permet pas de repartir à partir d'un certain point si on décide de modifier le parcours. Il faut absolument le suivre à la lettre sinon on nous ramène toujours au trajet qui n'a pas été fait. C'est un défaut de l'application à notre avis.
