Reservation Issues

My family travelled from Algarve to Lagos to experience a private Catamaran Trip. After several reminders from Viator, we arrived at the correct gate at the correct time on the correct date. However, when it was time to check-in with the operator of the Catamaran, they did not have any record of our reservation. We showed them our ticket/barcode and reservation number but the reservation was never communicated between Viator and the Operator . We were shut out. Both Viator and the Operator blamed each other for the mixup. At the end of the day, we got a refund (I think - still waiting) and wasted half a day of our Portugal trip driving to Lagos for nothing. Viator was unable to accommodate same day/same trip and while searching for a solution the Viator service associate disconnect the call we made to them. Not ideal.
