Wonderful tour by David! Taught us about chocolate and coffee from seed to finished product. Perfect length of time. Even lucky enough to see a sloth in trees nearby.

This tour was so interesting and fun. The blend of information and tasting experiences was perfect to keep us engaged while still learning so much about both the coffee and chocolate growing and making processes. We booked this very last minute and managed to get one of the last spots, and I'm so glad we did because it was one of my favourite tours of our trip. Alberto, our guide, was funny and knowledgeable.

A fun way to learn about coffee and chocolate production in Costa Rica. This is a family-owned business with beautiful growing areas that are easy to walk around. The paths and gathering areas are floored with solid cement and they have overhead coverings, so this is a good activity that will work on rainy days. Sunny days give beautiful views of the volcano.
You not only learn about how coffee, cocoa, and sugar cane is processed, but there are plenty of tastings! Including sugar cane with a local liqueur !
Our host, Jonathan, was very informative and welcoming. He had a wonderful sense of humor and made sure the information was interesting and fun. Jonathan also explained the importance of these crops to both the economy of Costa Rica and the cultural life of the citizens.
Jonathan was a delight and the entire experience kept us busy with tastings, sugar cane crushing, and viewing the growing areas.

We were a family of 7 from 13 to 49 yo. We all really enjoyed our time in this tour in coffee, chocolate, sugar cane juice and even white rum (for adults). The tour is about 2 1/2 hours and includes a visit of the of the domain to see the trees that produce fruits from which are made coffee and chocolate and sugar cane. All of their products tasted very good and are of great quality. I personally love coffee and chocolate but since many years I can’t eat them because I,ve got headaches even with very little quantity and I didn’t had any headaches after drinking coffee and eating chocolate in the tour. The guide was super friendly and very knowledgeable. I really recommend the tour for everyone.

This was a terrific last minute activity we decided to do. I had been pestering my wife about doing a chocolate & coffee tour since arriving in CR. Despite her not really wanting to she almost immediately perked up when we had the coffee! Johnathan was informative and patience with the children also present. The cocoa was delicious, the coffees were sweet and smooth. They also serve cocoa tea, sugar cane and sugar cane moonshine! Super fun and worthwhile trip.

If I could give this tour six stars I would. Our guides name was David and he was awesome! The tour gives you a big appreciation of where our coffee comes from. It’s so delicious and pure. You also get to try pure chocolate and sugar cane. Phenomenal tour!
