I’m an absolute history buff, and this experience truly made my trip to Turkey! The entire excursion to Troy was well organized from start to finish, with seamless pick-up and drop-off. The guides and staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and added so much to the overall experience. Though the city was smaller than I’d imagined, and much of the site is now in rubble, making it challenging to envision its former glory, I’m still thrilled to have finally checked Troy off my bucket list. It would have been great to see a museum tour or some 3D reconstructions to better imagine what the city looked like at its height. Overall, a memorable and fascinating day! Thanks for a fantastic experience, everyone!"

Good for history/classics lovers

I have been teaching world history in colleges for years and this was one place I always wanted to go. However, you only spend about an hour at Troy itself. That's like taking an hour taxi ride to Hagia Sophia, staying ten minutes, and driving back for an hour. I would have gone regardless (they actually overbooked my original date, so I switched around some plans), but others might balk at the time spent. I would recommend making it a double trip...spend the night, and then go to Gallipoli the next day. The company does offer that option, I believe. The tour guide, Ms. Cindy, was knowledgeable and the Trojan Horse on site is finally open again. So, for me, it was worth it.

Excellent tour. Small, new, Mercedes minibusses for transfers, guides at every stage of the trip, extremely knowledgeable guide in Troy with a degree in history! The tour company went above and beyond when I decided I wanted to stay overnight in Troy (Canakale). I highly recommend staying the night! The hotels are cheap, and the seaside town is really fun! I highly recommend this company for a tour.
