Our day trip to Troy was excellent. Although it’s a long day, the organisation made it feel smooth and relaxed, with thoughtful breaks along the way and a very good lunch. The ferry crossing was beautiful and added a lovely change of pace. The tour of Troy itself was fascinating — rich in history, well explained, and far more atmospheric than we expected. A truly rewarding experience and well worth the journey.

This is a good experience. It is a good company, I believe and they try to accommodate your requests. The vehicle was in good condition and lunch (my option was vegetarian) was very nice . But the guide could improve some guiding skills in explaining things a bit more clearly.

It was a very long bus ride, but the transportation was comfy and the scenery along the way was beautiful. Our guide, Lev, was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. Troy itself is full of fascinating relics and ruins, perfect for history buffs! We even saw two versions of the famous Trojan Horse, one in Çanakkale with a lovely ocean breeze. A memorable day exploring ancient legends come to life.

If you are a history enthusiast, this tour is well worth the time. Though many hours are spent in the bus or on the ferry it was relaxing and enjoyable to get out of the city and observe the rolling hills, sunflower fields and seascape! The tour was very informative and the Cindy's approach, pace and knowledge was outstanding!

Most of the time you will be on the bus as it's a very very long drive, and total a couple hours on the sites and the museum. Best if you are interested in its history!

If you’re motivated enough to travel some 500 miles / 800 kilometers in a day to see Troy, like I was, it’s a great tour. But don’t complain. It’s a long drive to be onsite for 1.5 hours. I loved it.

I booked this trip a month ago and was looking forward to this trip. Unfortunately we had to miss it. Two days before the trip the company confirmed our itinerary as starting at 7 am and the day before changed the pick up time to 5 am. Since it was not possible for us to travel to the pick up location at 5 am, I asked to cancel. They refused quoting their policy of 24 hour notice (even though they switched the time less than 24 hours in advance). Still trying to get my refund from Viator directly.

It's a long drive but totally worth it! Our tour guide Aytac was incredibly kind and helpful. The lunch included was delicious. Troy itself was amazing too see. When I went in March it wasn't crowded at all.

Troy was incredible, but go if you really want to see it. It's far and tiring to go there for just one day, I think it's better to stay there for at least 2 nights to make it worth it and make the most of the trip.

The pickup is early but a worthy, refreshing day trip to Troy which is about 4 hours from Istanbul with a pit stop/bathroom break both way. During this time you can buy yourself tea/snack. It’s interesting connecting this historic city, & its ruins to reality and our tour guide Charlie was great. However, be mindful there are a few changes along the tour including transportation, driver and guide. “Lunch” being included is ok and one less stress. Also it’s nice to view the scenery and other side of Istanbul away from the hustle and bustle…. We had a great time, and would highly recommend.

The tour was really interesting. The escavation site is still making discoveries. Tour company was very organized and tour guide clearly knowledgeable. The 2 downsides: lunch was terrible, and it's a long trip for a short tour. If you have the time, consider making it a 2 day tour, then you can visit the museum and see other parts of the city.

Amazing trip. If you are a history buff or very curious about Troy, take this trip. Everything about this trip was amazing. They pick you up, take you to the site, have a great guide explain the history of Troy, treat you to a nice lunch and take you back to where you started. A nice vehicle and incredibly nice staff. The small group pick up and tour itself were really good however at the end of the tour we were given tickets to a public bus which took 8 hours to return to Istanbul and stopped everywhere en route. We were not advised of this prior to joining the tour and expected to return in group vehicle. Because of this we did not take passports and so we're challenged at every stop by police as had no ID to cross regions on public transport. Very poor communication. Would not recommend at all.
