Three Historic Sites in One Tour

Really enjoyed this tour with John (sp) as our guide. We got so much more out of this tour than if we went on our own. All the sites were exceptional and we certainly appreciated the fast track into the Basilica Cistern as lines were very long. Ece was a very knowledgeable tour guide who knew just the right amount of details to share to keep our kids engaged. Great great tour of historical sites of Istanbul!

We had a wonderful time and Hussein is sooo knowledgeable!! We went from 1:30-4:30 which is a great time to go—you can have a nice lunch/brunch before, or sleep in then go see history that’s been around for 1,500 years. If you can do all 3 it’s really worth it—the Basilica Cistern is such a cool thing to see and during the summer is cooler (temperature) than other tours. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Turkey! We did this in middle of January so it’s pretty cold that time of year, but there are way less people than high season so you can see so much without being shoulder to shoulder. I’d definitely recommend Turkey during low season as it’s so easy to get around and virtually no crowds. Discounts are much, much better as well. Our VRBO for 8 days (3 bedrooms and 1 bath located in center of the old town) was $1,200 USD!! Very inexpensive. And we have a view of the water and Blue Mosque. It’s all been a great experience.

Not family friendly

Though the tour guide was great, the weather was so cold and rainy we were unable to complete the tour. The spaces on the tour were not heated and my children (7, 9) and my wife who has a medical condition could not complete the journey. As such as I asked for a partial refund for the trip was not granted one. Would not recommend this tour for families traveling with young ones or who cannot tolerate sub-freezing temperatures for > 3 hrs without breaks to warm up

Great Family Experience

The guide was knowledgeable on the subjects of Roman and Ottoman history. Mostly family friendly tour for small children. We left our stroller at the blue mosque for the duration and came back for it. I would bring something with you to keep a toddler entertained. There also a lot of stairs so be ready to carry small children. Strollers really shouldn’t be brought with you as you’ll end up carrying the stroller and the child.
