The cooking class was a fun, hands-on experience. Chef was an excellent teacher who demonstrated patience and humor. All recipes were provided at the end of the session. At the end of class, we consumed four dishes that we had helped prepare. We have a new appreciation for how many spices and flavorings go into the preparation of each dish.

My wife and I had a great time learning how to cook Vietnamese food. Mango picked us up and brought us and one other couple to the restaurant where we started our lesson. We started our stock for our pho and then left to the market to pickup ingredients. The market is very interesting to say the least for westerners. After gathering the ingredients we returned and finished our meal. We made a beef pho, fried spring rolls, banana flower salad and grilled meats. Everything was delicious. We really enjoyed the experience and recommend it for anyone looking for something interesting to try.

Chef Pickle was terrific in explaining the dishes. We were hands on doing the prep. The Tuk Tuk ride to the market was a nice touch as was his showing us various products. We had done a different cooking class in Hanoi and this one was so much better. Highly recommended.

This was a wonderful experience. Mango was a delight, Very knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. My 11 year old daughter loved it and we did too. The market tour, the cooking, and the eating were all exceptional. I highly recommend this class.

This was a very hand on class and was much fun. There were only two of us for the class and the chef was great. We started the pho and then went to the market to buy everything we needed for the dinner. The chef showed us many vegetables, fruits, and meats that could be purchased. We then went back to the restaurant and chopped, measured, seared, grilled many foods to make our meal. After all was done, we then ate our wonderful meal.

Chris was a great teacher who can teach even the least experienced person in a kitchen. He took us to local vendors and we got to see how locals source their produce and meat. As a vegetarian, he customized my portion of the menu to fit my dietary restrictions and had my friend make her food without restrictions. This was so much food we invited friends to the restaurant to help us eat it all. One of my favorite experiences in Vietnam

The best experience ever, first I wasn't feeling well in the morning and was willing to skip the class and let my husband go by himself, chef who came to get us the hotel would not have it and offered to wait and try again in the afternoon. I am so grateful that he did, we had the most wonderful experience, not only did he teach us how to make delicious food but he also took us to the market and helped me buy something I didn't know I needed until I saw him use it. Chef is very patient and generous with his information, funny at times but most importantly an awesome chef, thank you for everything as he contributed to the wonderful memories we took from Hanoi.

Well worth the price! Enjoyable morning event greeted by chef, pleasant conversations to get to know the chef and other participants, provided short bike ride to local market in old quarters, walked through the market selecting food ingredients to prepare, went back to the kitchen to cook foods, and most importantly sat down and enjoy the wonderful cuisine we created. It was a small group of 3 (typically 2-6) that made the experience non-rushed and personal. They will pick you up from your hotel, but you have to get your own taxi back after end of cooking school. The nice bonus of walking through the local food market with the chef providing comments was very enjoyable.
