The meeting point: at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, 7 Dinh Tien Hoang on Monday to 7:00 pm Friday, at Hanoi Opera House from 7:30 pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday. With a 24-hours valid ticket, travelers can join day and night tour, but after 5pm the buses run without stopping. Travelers cannot hop on and off.

Best way to acquaint yourself with a new city

I always take a hop on hop off bus whenever I arrive in a new city. It’s a great way to get acquainted with a new city. Which one should take on your first or second day. One small issue when I presented my booking to the booking office as it took them about 30 minutes to try and work out and confirm that I actually booked it and that my booking was real. This is something that Viator should take up with this operator.

Once on board the crew were great and the tour was informative and interesting. However we missed 4 hours of the tour trying to locate the pick up stops at the Ho Choi Min museum and the Prison. Once we located the stop at the Prison two bus waived us off and drove by. It was a frustrating experience. Would not recommend.

We have done several hop on, hop off bus tours and have found them to be a great way to explore a new place. This was the worst we have ever experienced. Several windows were broken on the first bus and it was very dirty and the audio didn’t work on the second bus which made it useless to us. The buses did not stay on schedule and after waiting for one to arrive for 20 minutes past the scheduled time, we gave up and walked. I would not recommend this tour bus operator!

So much to see

We were only in Hanoi for a couple of days and so thought this would be a great way to see the city. This is a worthwhile experience and you can get On and off as many times as you like. We got the 24hrs ticket, NOTE at the weekend the route does slightly change. And there can be a little walk from the bus stops to certain destinations. But over all a good way to get around.
