What are people saying about Ha Long Bay

Well organised and run like clockwork
The tour is extremely well organised and the staff and boat captain are very professional and clear with instructions. The hike and kayaking require a reasonable level of fitness. Be prepared to exert yourself in hot humid weather. Wear sensible clothing and shoes. Bring bathers and some spare clothes. Do not litter Halong Bay or bring plastic single-use water bottles and respect the environment. Recommend this tour.

My family recently joined...
My family recently joined a Ha Long Bay day tour from Hanoi, and it was a day well spent especially if you have only a few days in Hanoi. Activities were well-paced:. The boat tour had 3 activities. First activity was kayaking or bamboo boat riding or high speed boat riding. Second activity was exploring the surprising cave, and the third activity was swimming or hiking on T Top island. Alex, ourguide, was knowledgeable, sharing both history and legends of the bay, which added depth to the experience. Overall, the tour was well-organized, scenic, and relaxing — a perfect way to experience the natural beauty of northern Vietnam in just one day. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hanoi who wants a taste of Ha Long Bay without committing to an overnight stay.

All day cruise
It was such an amazing experience I totally recommend it. It was so nice to see different places. The tour guide was very funny and very informative. He made the trip a great experience. The only thing I would recommend for improvement to all cruise ships to arrive at the cave in turns as it was overcrowded inside the cave by some point.

Great experience, tour guide and food!
We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. The drive was long but comfortable. The views and food (I’m vegan) aboard the ship were excellent and so was our tour guide Brian. He provided extra detail and information about the different views and areas we saw. The only downside was there were 1-2 stops on the way there and on the way back, making an already long journey, even longer. Also, only cash is accepted on the ship and throughout the tour.

To fully enjoy the emerald waters and towering limestone islands of Halong Bay, it’s best to explore it by boat. Halong Bay day cruises make it easy to experience the UNESCO World Heritage Site and can include transfers from Hanoi, Halong City, or nearby ports. Most cruises, whether by traditional junk boat or luxury ship, include lunch, stops at an island and cave, plus time for kayaking or a bamboo boat excursion—some also wait for the sunset. Cruises to quieter Lan Ha Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay are also an option.
