This was a really good option it didn't cost as much as say a taxi but it was a door to door service I thought it was very helpful because the older member in our party was going to arrive first and loved walking out and seeing your name and not having to guess where they were going. We use the same service when we returned to the airport they were very communicative about scheduling the pickup and got us there on time and the van was clean and the driver was very professional.

Transfer from the airport to my hotel was very easy to book. After picking up my luggage it was nice to see the driver holding a sign with my name. He then took me directly to where I’m staying for my island adventure.

Picked up efficiently by a courteous driver in a shiny new vehicle. Driver waiting in Arrivals with name board so easy transit. We booked arrival & departure pickups and on both occasions our drivers were on time and whizzed us smoothly from/to the airport. Great price too. Should have been a shared mini bus, but both occasions it was just me & my husband. Would definitely use again.

The standby time is up to a maximum of 60 minutes. You must show the transfer voucher to the driver."...… this is information on the viator.
If I may, and also for other customers can understand what happened from another perspective.
As I personally answered at the airport, the shared transfer has a waiting time, as the name suggests it is shared with other people, so I have to respect those who are in the car waiting and those who are not there for any reason. Reason that in your case it was lost luggage, but you could have missed the plane, you could have been stopped at customs, however the person that is waiting for the clients doesn't know what's going on with the customer. The shuttle service is the most economical service and therefore also more limited. Now, put yourself on the place of the other customers that were in the car waiting for you! How would you react? You were together with a group of 10 people, why didn't one of those people come outside and give some information to the driver who was waiting for you? Were they considered? Your opinion does not reflect the entire situation and I do not deserve this review.

This is an awful shuttle service. My flight got delayed and had trouble with my luggage. With that in mind, they left my group stranded without a ride. We tried contacting the company driver many times and they never replied to us. Do not recommend at all.

I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by Viator airport shuttle. Despite my efforts to communicate my delayed arrival due to the airline losing my luggage, the shuttle left without any attempt to contact me beforehand. This lack of consideration and communication is unacceptable. As a customer relying on their service, being stranded at the airport only added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating situation. Viator's negligence and lack of responsiveness reflect poorly on their professionalism and reliability. I strongly advise against using their shuttle service, as they evidently prioritize punctuality over customer care and satisfaction.

Driver was waiting in the arrival area and had a sign with my name in it. He was friendly, & confirmed my stay location as it was not at a hotel. Very safe driver & dropped me off at my stay. I would highly recommend this service- great price & clean vehicles. What’s not to like.

Seriously nice people who it's a pleasure to do business with. We were met as agreed at the airport and immediately upgraded to a saloon car.
Driver was very charming and delivered us exactly to our front door. She gave a wonderful description of what was new in Funchal.

Waited an hour. No minibus.Person in airport phoned company to be told a private taxi of an unknown company would be sent. Waited another 15 mins no sign of taxi.Caught airport shuttle bus. Refund?

The information provided in the description of this shared transfer says that the waiting time is 60 minutes. Let's get to the facts, your flight arrived at 10:46, normally for baggage collection and passport control it takes an average of 25 minutes, 11:30 I tried to contact you via phone but it was off, my colleague at the airport called the 11:32 am informing that ".....the gentlemen were at the airport looking for us and I informed that in 25 minutes there would be a car at the airport and as I had no more people to go on the same transfer, it would be a free of charge upgrade to a private one.The guest would have to wait next to the Vodafone office....". 11:58 the driver called to say that the guests were no longer at the airport at the agreed place, I called your mobile number in the reservation again, 7 times, the mailbox rang. Now from 11:30 to 11:58 it's 28 minutes more than they have waited before the phone call 15 minutes, makes a total of 43 minutes, it is impossible that you have waited 75 minutes as it says in the complaint. the car left the airport at 12:14.
About the refund, you didn't call the emergency number, you didn't meet the stipulated waiting time, the car was at the airport within the allotted time, with this justification that in our view does not entitle you to a refund.

I bought one way sutlle transfer to the home dress in Funchall online e whe in Canada. Description on the form was bit vague and I was not sure if I will get to the home address or some designated spot in the sity. Driver waited for me at the airport with the name sign at the airport and drove to the exact address! Experience was absolutely great and would recommend to anyone!
