Aida is simply outstanding! I booked her Medici and Michelangelo tour in Florence and it exceeded every expectation.
What sets her apart is her ability to give you the full picture. She walked us through the transformation of Florence from a republic to a de facto monarchy under Cosimo I — and suddenly everything made sense.
Why this city produced such an extraordinary concentration of genius in painting, sculpture, architecture, and poetry wasn't a mystery anymore. She laid out the conditions, the patronage, the economics, the rivalry, and the ambition that made Florence the incubator it was.
She never just recites facts. Everything was put in context, made relevant, and connected to the bigger story. I came away understanding Florence in a way I hadn't after years of reading about it.
One of the most practical things she taught me was how to look at sculpture — understanding point of view as a tool in Renaissance art. It sounds simple but it genuinely changed how I see Renaissance sculpture. I now use it everywhere. My new superpower.
Aida answered every question I threw at her with depth and enthusiasm, and offered details I never would have found in any guidebook.
If you want a tour that actually teaches you something lasting, book Aida. Highest possible recommendation.

We were not sure what to expect on this tour but we ended up loving it. Our guide Aida was so knowledgeable and had a great way of making a history class fun and interesting. I walked away feeling like I had learned so much. The churches she brought us to were stunning and she even gave us a recommendation for lunch they was amazing

This was honestly one of the most outstanding tours of Florence and one of the best experiences we had on our 12 day trip to Italy that was full of many guided tours of Italy . Aida was INSANELY knowledgeable on the history of the Medici and Michelangelo taking us to so many important spots that were off the beaten path. She accommodated a last minute change to our travel plans and helped navigate some last minute logistics issues deftly like a true local!

What a phenomenal tour guide! Good perspectives and interesting history of the tise and fall of the Medici family and how their influence led to the fame of Michelangelo. Awesome to see where it all started for Michelangelo in Santo Spirito church.

We had a wonderful experience on the Medici and Michelangelo tour with Aida. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many fascinating details that brought the history of the Medici family to life in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow. Her passion for the subject made the tour not only informative but also truly enjoyable. We left with a much deeper appreciation of Florence’s art and history—highly recommend this tour with Aida!

Much more of a history lesson than your typical sights tour which is exactly what we wanted. We’ve been to Florence several times and was more interested in its history and the Medici. Also learning more about Michelangelo and his beginnings.
Excellent guide.
