It was a nice experience to hear some of the history of the cathedral. The guide started late due to 2 people not showing up on time. Would have been nice for the other 12+ waiting to just get going.

Our guide was knowledgeable and covered the history of the duo o quickly. Obviously skip the line is an important feature of this and worth it. However we should have know that you are NOT ABLE to go to the Baptistry on this ticket. It must be bought separately. A lot was discussed on the tour about the baptistry yet you couldn’t see it. I would have happily paid more for a tour that included but wasn’t aware of this detail.

The church is beautiful! Our guide shared how they built the church and all of the history behind the construction! Our guide spoke slowly which was much appreciated!

I don't want to deter anyone away from taking this tour because I am sure it is not like this every time, but our experience was not the best. It was easy to find the group outside of the duomo, but we did not receive a headphone set, so it was very difficult for us to hear our already quiet tour guide. On top of that, I struggled to understand the guides' english. The great thing is that we completely bypassed the long line outside.

I wish this experience was better. We had a lot to do in Florence so we wanted to do a quick tour but my goshhhh it wasn’t worth it. The lady was very sweet but barely spoke any English for an English speaking tour. Very difficult to understand. Also didn’t give us mics or headphones so not only could we barely understand her, we also never heard much. It was boring and unexciting. The group was sadly miserable. Many of us slowly left at the end because no one understood. Waste of time

Fast and convinient. The line of people waiting to go inside was very long but we skipped the line instantly with our guide. Explained and gave us some of the important history of this Church and about Florence. Highly recommend.

It was a little difficult to understand the tour guide due to her heavy accent and the static in the ear pieces. But it was well worth it to skip the long line!

It was super easy to find the meeting point. Our tour guide was amazing, unfortunately I can’t remember her name. She was very knowledgeable. The priority entrance was very nice. We came during peak season and we still didn’t have to wait. The ticket comes with entrance to the museum which gives you a great view of the duomo/piazza. Very worth it!

Skip the line is so worth it — and the short tour really gave so much color and history to everything you see inside. It is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the history and take in the beauty. Once the short tour is over you’re welcome to continue walking around as you please.

Buyer please be advised, that way you do not run into the same displeasure that my wife and I did. Nowhere, when purchasing tickets, does it indicate that there is a dress code. It is very hot outside and my wife was unable to participate because she was wearing a short rumper. In addition, we arrived 35 minutes before the activity, even though it indicated to arrive 20 minutes before, and at no point, did the ticket attendant advise us that my wife required to change clothing. Had we been told, with the ample amount of time we arrived, we could have walked quickly to our hotel room and changed. We do not care about the money, we care about the experience we missed out on. Is not an everyday thing that one comes to Florence to experience and live its rich history. I give it a 1 star review because of this. PLEASE COVER UP if you want to partake in such an activity.

Although it said head sets would be used they were not based on the size of the group. This was a silly reason and resulted in it being impossible to hear the tour guide. So I do not understand the logic.

Tour was prompt starting on time and a small group as described. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable - and we gained access to the Duomo very quickly and easily. However, most in the group could not hear her and, after being informed of this, she did not speak up to ensure the group could hear the information she was providing. I understand that voices must be low in the cathedral but this was also an issue outdoors and audio headsets seemed common on other tours.

The tour was highly overpriced for being just a tour of the cathedral with no option to climb the duomo as advertised. Not only was the climb not included, but we couldn’t even buy an optional upgrade because the duomo climb was sold out until next week. I could have booked that in advance but the title of this tour made it seem like it included the duomo climb too or at least an optional add on. I contacted both Viator and the tour operator about this and both parties were less than helpful.

The only positive about the tour was getting the skip the line. It was a hot day and the queue was very long, so my mom and I were thankful to be able to skip. Other that that, it wasn't good. I feel so bad saying this, but the language skills of our guide were just not what they needed to be. We could hardly understand anything she was saying. You could tell she was really struggling. Even the photos she was showing on the iPad were super blurry. We had no idea what she was talking about around 90% of the time. I read so many other good reviews about this company so I think it all comes down to who your guide is that day.

They were absolutely wonderful! Our train to Florence was very, very delayed, and so we were late to get to our tour. They called us about ten minutes before the tour was supposed to begin to inquire about our arrival time (already nice of them to ask).
Needless to say, the person who called me said "no problem!" when I told them we were running late. They arranged for us to meet someone from the company who then led us to join the group, already inside the Cathedral, even though we were ten minutes late and it was certainly our fault. We really appreciated their understanding, and my elderly mother and her bad knees would not have been able to wait on that very long line otherwise, missing her once-in-lifetime chance to see the inside of the Duomo!
The tour itself was very informative and I appreciated the headphones. Would absolutely recommend!

At no fault of the guide, the site did not live up the expectations. I have found that other cathedrals are more breathtaking and have better stories.
