Roberta was a wonderful, warm and engaging host. She taught us how to make two types of pasta and a meat ragu. She managed to make it educational and entertaining in a warm atmosphere suitable for adults and kids. You get to see a real restaurant kitchen. And the wine and coffee were a real bonus.

We had a great time learning how to make homemade pasta from scratch. It was excellent! We felt very welcomed and were treated like friends. It was our last night in Italy and was the perfect ending of a fantastic trip. Highly recommend this experience.

What an amazing experience we had learning the technics and joy of making pasta by hand, all while drinking wine and cheese with the staff of Cuculia. Katarina and head chef Oliver were a delight to learn from; very friendly and informative. After we prepared the pasta and were giving a tutorial on sauces and pasta fillings, we sat down to enjoy more wine, company and the inviting atmosphere of Cuculia. The staff brought out the 2 types of pastas we prepared that the chefs transformed into beautiful works of edible art, that paired superbly with the wine. We ate until we were stuffed. Thank you Cuculia for such memorable time! We plan to take these techniques home to our kitchen.

Amazing pasta making and eating experience!

    MichaelTurner, Jan 2025
We loved our pasta making/eating class set up by Stefano! We learned how to make traditional hand cut pasta from the chefs Mother-in-law and the head chef of Cuculia, an amazing restaurant, showed us how to make the best Ragu I’ve ever tasted. We cut out the pasta and then were treated to wine and two amazing pasta dishes in the closed restaurant. It was an amazing experience I would definitely recommend. Our three teenage sons all loved it as well and are excited to try to make some pasta and ragu when we get back home!

    Nona's Kitchen

What a fantastic evening....we mixed up flour, eggs, oil, water and made a pasta ball. Then rolled out tagliatelle and ravioli rounds. Our host walked us through making a Bolognese Sauce for the tagliatelle and a butter sage sauce for the ravioli. We helped make the ravioli filling starting with boiled potatoes and a potato ricer, adding butter, oil, cheese, pepper and salt. All while enjoying great local wines. This was an excellent night of memories. Like being in the kitchen with your Nona. Can not recommend this enough.

Private cooking Class a must do. !

I had the best time with my two daughters in a private cooking class. Theresa was spectacular. She taught how to make cow different pastas and red meat sauce. we had so much fun making the dough, rolling the dough and making the shapes by hand. Afterwords she served up our pasta and another lemon ricotta sauce and served everything with wine. This is a must to fdo in Florence!!! Thank you Theresa. Francine, Janine and Leanne 🩷

High-point of our stay in Firenza!

Teresa and Antonietta were amazing!! Antonietta taught my wife and I classic Florentine method of pasta (tortini) and ragu making from scratch. All locally sourced ingredients. Local chianti topped-off the evening on a rooftop deck overlooking all of old town Florence. Magnifico!! A night we will never forget!! I highly recommend.

We truly looked forward to the experience and even got there 15 minutes early. We were met by an empty kitchen and empty rooftop. No one was there then and no one was there for the 45 minutes that we waited and tried to contact the tour operators. We understand that unexpected things happen and cancelations occur, but absolutely no one called us to alert us the day before or that morning. We would have been disappointed, but we could have planned something else instead of wasting time on our vacation. Tours always ask the clients to cancel ahead of time or suffer a penalty - where’s the compensation of time and energy for us? We did eventually get our money back (with the help from a very understanding Viator rep), but without an apology or any other compensation. Don’t gamble with your precious vacation time and waste it with this tour.

    Response from Host, Aug 2024

I m really sorry for your bad experience unfortuantley we didn t see the reservation for that morning is my mistake and I have sent you a message of apology on the mail you had the total refund of course. I hope you will forgive me. Sincerely apologies. Stefano

Omg the cutest Italian grandma! The most beautiful location! The most delicious food! Everything was absolutely amazing. 100% recommend it. We actually had to cancel a different class and found this place last minute but ended up really enjoying it.

    Great cooking experience in Florence

We weren’t sure what to expect but we have a wonderful time! This cooking class was convenient located in Florence old town. Francesco was very friendly and helped with translation. Antonieta was personable, fun and knowledgeable, we learned how to make pasta and enjoyed the delicious dinner in a beautiful terrace with wine and a spectacular view of the city. Thank you!

    Wonderful, fun experience

Grand manque d'organisation.

    Response from Host, Jul 2024
