We had such a wonderful experience at this family-led cooking class in a warm and welcoming Italian home. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like a class and more like being invited in as guests. The conversation flowed easily throughout the evening, full of stories, laughter, and little cultural insights that made the experience feel truly special. The cooking itself was hands-on and enjoyable, with clear guidance that made everything approachable and fun. Our two kids participated as well, and they absolutely loved it—they were engaged the whole time and proud to help create the meal. It was such a joy to see them included and excited about the process. The evening ended with a lovely dinner that we all shared together, enjoying the dish we had prepared. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere made it even more memorable. Overall, it was a perfect blend of great conversation, a delightful cooking experience, and an unforgettable meal. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for an authentic, personal experience.

We were warmly welcomed into the home and felt so comfortable for the 3 hours we spent making the most amazing pomodoro. So much better than those typical large corporate cooking classes. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

This cooking class was great. It was just me and my wife and a husband and wife showing us how to make multiple Italian dishes. Camila and Samuel were great. They prepared zucchini and bruschetta while introducing us to new foods. The atmosphere was great and the food even better. Highly recommend this class.

Camilla and Sam are such wonderful people and teachers! We felt very at home making pasta with them - they are generous, curious, and incredibly knowledgable about pasta, wine, and oil. They taught us the correct way to do oil tasting and it was very high quality, much like all the rest of the ingredients provided during the day. We got to eat in their lovely garden where they grow their own herbs and vegetables. It was also my birthday and they made sure it was a spectacular one! I would highly recommend this course for anyone who would like a lovely pace of day for their pasta making experience.

The family teaching pasta making was gracious, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. We had a wonderful experience making several types of pasta and as a bonus seasonal squash risotto and tiramisu. In addition to learning several valuable cooking principles we learned a lot about Italian family lifestyle and culture.

Must-Do Family Experience in Florence

If you visit Florence with children, or even without, you MUST join this family in their home for a wonderful evening learning, cooking, and tasting all about Italy! This evening cooking an authentic meal was so much fun - they have thought of every detail to make your experience perfect, and have prepared in advance all the necessities for a delicious and relaxing evening. The pumpkin filled with herbs from the garden was roasting when we arrived, and the broth cooking on the stove - this made our effort to prepare the risotto simple, yet we got to see how to do so. We made pasta from scratch, using the tools to flatten and cut it, and enjoyed every bite once cooked! Our children were able to play with their incredible children, and were grateful to share in games with their toys. I cannot say enough wonderful things about how to give your family this exceptional and ‘once in a lifetime’ experience!

The most memorable parts was literally the entire experience. Our hosts were engaging, easy to get to know right away and the cooking instruction was wonderful. None of us had ever made pasta, or tiramisu. We learned, laughed enjoyed great wine and food. It was an honor to be invited into their home, meeting their 2 children and sharing the evening together. Incredible and authentic Tuscan experience

If I could rate this experience 10 stars I would! We had an incredible time with Camilla and Samuel. They taught us how to cook different types of pasta and served us delicious wine with appetizers. They were very accommodating with our one year old son and helped to keep him entertained. They have a lovely and welcoming home and I cannot recommend this experience enough!

This was such a special unforgettable memory for our family. We were in Italy for 3 weeks and this was our favorite experience we had! The fresh food, tips for cooking, and learning to make Apeorl Spritz drinks was wonderful and we learned so much! They made us feel at home with their welcoming environment. An added bonus was learning about the wine & olive oil their family makes, and nona's homemade biscotti's for dessert. We felt like we were at home cooking with our family! Such a special memory. Cannot recommend

We signed up for a private cooking class. But when we arrived we discovered this was not a private cooking class after all. There were another group of four present. Felt tricked through the whole experience. We stayed out of respect but cannot recommend this cooking class as it was falsely advertised. We felt cheated and were not able to enjoy the lesson as a result of not knowing. Left early as the class went way over scheduled time. Second. We arrived 10 min early and we told they weren’t read. We came back at 11am ant our agreed time and were made to wait another 10 min. When we went inside we saw the other group. Initially we thought their session had ended. But in reality they had just started. We were made to wait and we booked weeks in advance. Later We found out the other group had reserved the day before. Cannot recommend. Hosts were nice but we paid too much for a group rather than private event. Shame for not letting us know even when we arrived.

Dear Antonio, as you know beacuse we chatted a lot before this review, we accepted to rembourse you 25% of the experience even if you enjoyed all tha cooking class without saying anything about your feeling and even if the experience was more than 20 days ago. We feel tricked because, as you know, you had the time to stop the lesson and we would understand you but you decedided to stay, to enjoy the experience. It's true we had 4 people more but it was last minute. and it was in our house, so still private. Anyway, on that day there was a special gift for the guests: wine expert and cooking expert and that was for free. The lesson went over the time because all of us we were enjoying. Giving us that review is offensive for the quality that we offer to our guests in terms of organic and local food and wine and also in terms of humanity. We will be more carefull next times, but we cannot say that you have been totally honest with us, for sure.

Amazing experience and the highlight of our Florence trip

This was one of the best things we did on our 2 week holiday around Europe. Camille and Samuel were incredible hosts. They welcomed us into their home and when we left, we felt like family. I am so glad that we decided to do this instead of a cooking class at a school or facility. The food was amazing and we learned some great tips and recipes that we will definately be using in the future. The make their own olive oil and wine and they were amazing! They were very responsive and even gave us some recommendations for restaurants and told us about a quaint little river boat tour to do. We had a private boat tour along the river at sunset. If you go to Florence, you HAVE to book this, you will not be disappointed.

We couldn’t have imagined a better “cooking” lesson/dining experience! From the moment we walked into their beautiful, warm and inviting home we didn’t feel like guests we felt like long time friends. Such genuine hospitality and generosity. Both Samuel and Camila were so patient in teaching us how to make ravioli and homemade pasta. They were so generous in teaching us how to taste delicious olive oil and trying wines, bread and vegetables- so fresh and delicious! We will remember this always!

Spectacular 6 star experience

If I could rate this experience a 6 stars I would!! Had no idea that we would actually be physically walking into a locals home and making all kinds of homemade stuff, including ravioli and several types of pasta right from their kitchen. They let us try three different methods on making the pasta noodles (one that dated back to hundreds of years ago). Great conversation, great wine, and even had the opportunity to meet both of their kids. An extremely generous and very caring and friendly family. This experience was completely private. We ate at their table all together but if it wasn’t cold outside, we would’ve eaten in there spectacular garden and been able to pick fruits and vegetables right from their garden. They shared and showed us their secrets to great pasta and sauces and had us try and taste her grandfathers olive oil. Wish we could have bought some to take home. So much better of an experience than with a large group in a factory like setting!! Highly recommend!
