We got the 09:31 bus from Chester to Port Sunlight 1hr 15mins. Just arrived at the Museum at 11:00 in time for the guided tour. The guide had actually been brought up in the village from very early childhood. He was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the visit. Port Sunlight is a most beautiful, peaceful village. It is a vital part of our social history and the way it is being preserved is commendable. We completed our visit by having lunch at Manna, the church Bistro. It was a lovely atmosphere and great use of the facility. We ambled back through the village and caught the 14:36 bus back to Chester. A thoroughly enjoyable day.
