A really interesting trip. Barrie had amazing knowledge delivered with humour and pzazz. Many amusing anecdotes, interspersed with an astounding array of facts. Great stamina. No concessions to the age of his customers or the weather!!! Absolutely excellent.

We waited at the designated meeting spot and the guide never showed up. The guard at the castle even checked CCTV to see if they showed up earlier. Very disappointing, since all other tours scheduled through Viator have been great.

You can join our tour on Saturday 15 March at 10:00 at no charge if that fits your plans or at any other time. I'm not sure what happened here as we don't operate on Wednesdays during the winter season.

Barrie is a superb guide. We've lived in the area for a long time, but he showed us places we've never seen and told us things we'd not heard before. I've told lots of friends about the day and they're interested too. Great value for money. Barrie said he has too much info for one tour, so we'll be back to see what else he's got.

Barrie was an excellent guide: very knowledgeable, interesting and patient (we asked lots of questions...) The weather was against us but it didn't matter a jot: we were engaged the whole time. It is a very good way to get to know the history of the town and decide which of the places you may wish to return to afterwards.
We highly recommend booking on this tour.
