A great idea spoiled by poor technical implementation.

The tour was great and the game added a little extra interest making the whole deal worth the price charged. However, the process of getting through the IT hurdles to get the app on your phone and functioning was awful. The only one of our group who succeeded with this did so by spending over an hour the previous day struggling through the byzantine, non intuitive process. Two others paid for the tour, but failed to get the app running after spending half an hour fiddling with it , delaying our planned start by 30 minutes. We solved the problem by the one who had the app acting as unpaid guide for the rest of us. I even telephoned the helpline to be answered by a lady who told me he would have to ask someone to tell me how to get the app, but nobody was around for her to ask! It's not made easier by the fact that the app is not a Viatour app but Questo. Why don't you give some space on your website to explain your process? Not every customer is an IT native with prehensile thumbs! This your is also offered by Quessto direct - I ust checked their website which is much better presented, perhaps better to deal with them? Oh, on your webpage you write: "Starting at Christchurch Mansion ...... The tour ends at the historic waterfront" and "Meeting point Soane St, Ipswich IP4 2BE, UK ......This activity ends back at the meeting point." The last statement is clearly wrong, the start and finish are 20 minutes walk apart.

Hey, Peter. Thanks for playing and for sharing your review. To clarify: 1. for any help you might need, we have a 24/7 chat support that was communicated to you in multiple instances either by email or through the post-purchase instructions; 2. the meeting point and ending point might be 20 min apart if you walk from one to the other in a straight line, but that's not how the quest works. We designed the route in a circle, so that the start and end are fairly close to each other. Otherwise, people might have to do a too longer walk going back to their start, where they might have a car parked. Hope to see you trying a new quest soon.

Good tour, some technical problems

Great tour and loved the stories. But took us ages to figure out how to access it. You don't need the viator app, you need the questo app. That's not at all clear though from the email. The initial set up process needs to be set out much clearer.

A fun walk around Ipswich.

It was really nice wandering around seeing places of interest we might have otherwise missed, with goods additional information on the places we were seeing. Good instructions for how to get to the next places and useful pictures too. Challenges gave an additional fun element to the activity.
