Very interesting and interactive experience. Not suitable for children or anyone with a nervous disposition, due solely to lighting and sound. As an adult experience great fun and very enjoyable
Edinburgh dungeon is a great venue good fun entertaining and scary good length of time in there would definitely go back
Funny, interactive tour of Scottish “dungeons.” The actors who led the experience committed to the bit, and they integrated props very effectively.
Great experience, The actors were very professional, we really enjoyed learning about some of Edinburghs history
James was a great guide. I signed up expecting just food but took away a lot of historical and cultural factoids about Penang too, which was the perfect combination as most walking tours in Penang seemed way too long (considering the heat). James was so well prepared that he carried napkins and disposable cutlery in his bag so we can share dishes.
I might be biased as this is my second time here and I already know my fav is Char Kway Teow. I only wish we had that at the middle not the end of the tour!
Great fun for adults! Excellent effects and committed cast members. Some parts are definitely too scary for kids.

Asking for a refund from Viator but haven’t heard from them regarding the refund
The characters were amazing. It was fun and thrilling. A must do. Was fun for my husband and myself.
We had a great time!! Lots of jump scares and laughs! The actors were wonderful! Never a dull moment.
A unique experience not to be missed! Not for the faint hearted! Actors were brilliant, setting atmospheric and engaging. I would highly recommend.
Really enjoyed the Edinburgh Dungeons It was not what I expected and much better than expected. The drop ride was closed and I was really looking forward to that so that was the only downside. The guide book is well worth the money and really interesting too. The kids loved it and it was scary enough without being too extreme.
Fun and interactive. For all ages. Great storytelling and acting. Lasts about 1 hour. Recomended. Loved it!!
My wife and I decided to go to Edinburgh Dungeons whilst we were staying in the city. We’ve been to the one in London so knew what to expect; however, we were absolutely blown away by how brilliant the staff got into character. This made it an unforgettable experience and we would definitely go back, as it was such good and scary fun.
Jumpy. Great interaction. Good rides. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable.
Make sure you visit the toilets. 🤣🤣
From start to finish you will be entertained! Every character was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend :)
Super fun, interactive experience. I was picked to be the witch in trial and kept getting picked out of the crowd. It was an amazing time. Not scary at all. Would definitely recommend
Absolute must when visiting Edinburgh fantastic interactive experience although not for the faint of heart. I was found guilty of spilling a man’s whiskey (hangs my head in shame) and then tortured with all kinds of scary contraptions but yet still had an incredible time.
Really good fun. The guides acted their parts brilliantly. It was fun scary. Well done guys. Recommended.
Amazing experience, very entertaining for all ages.
I’d highly recommend this excursion for family’s
Loved the immersive actors and interesting facts about old Edinburgh. I like how the actors got you involved.
Fantastic morning at the dungeons very friendly staff and loved the whole experience! The only disappointing part was that the drop ride was broken down and also one of the room that we went in broke down and we had to leave the room which was abit gutting, but overall we enjoyed our experience
Jump scares and history through live actors…yes please.
We even bought the photos. They were super cute!!
We booked this on a whim and had a great experience. Initially seemed like a haunted house, but soon we realized that this was history bright to life. Recommended.
We were simply filling time when we decided to book this adventure to the Dungeon. However we are so glad we did. Great stories and surprises await you! Buy the pictures - we laughed so hard!
What a neat experience the cast was so fun and really incorporated the audience and the cast was very in character!
Well organised , great experience throughout. Good value for money. Loved the drop ride at the end !
Great experience.
The only down side was their technical problems at the last stage and missed out on desired photos.
Good fun. It didn’t take long to do and it was great with audience interaction. The ride at the end was unexpected and fun.
This was like a Ripleys in the States. Ok if you have kids. Better things to spend time and money on
Fun for all ages, solo traveler or not. Live and interactive not just a simple walk through. Great ride at the end.
