My friends and I went on the Outlander Tour and had the most amazing time! Graeme (graham sp? Sorry!) was the absolute best tour guide and driver. He was very knowledgeable and kept us all engaged. Thanks so much! Would take this tour again! 10/10 would recommend

It’s is definitely a full days experience. Lots of walking with steep stairs and inclines. It’s an absolute treat to see Outlander locations in all their glory and have an experienced guide giving you all the rich details as you travel. This is a must for Outlander fans! Jack, our guide was absolutely fantastic!
Gregory_V, Apr 2026
Not enough time at Lallybroch because of the crowds. More outlander music on the bus would’ve been appreciated.
Lynne_R, Apr 2026
It’s a lot of walking on uneven
Surfaces make sure you wear good walking shoes. The coach was very comfortable. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Got to spend the day with Iain & his trainee Declan. Iain had immense knowledge & is an amazing storyteller. Excellent time keeping skills & it made the trip so enjoyable! The castles were fantastic and got to enjoy a bit of sunshine throughout the day. The time between castles was filled with fantastic stories & facts about each area we came upon. Thanks Iain & Declan for making this trip so enjoyable!

The trip was fantastic—being able to visit so many Outlander filming locations in a single day was truly special. Our guide and driver, Ian, was exceptional. He shared insightful details about each location, both from a historical perspective and in relation to the show. Along the way, he also added fascinating tidbits about Scottish history and traditions. On top of that, he was warm, engaging, and had a great sense of humor, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Our guide and driver (Kelly and Jack) were fantastic! Scotland's reputation for hospitality was met and exceeded. Both Kelly and Jack had not only a firm grasp over the Outlander subject matter and locations, but they knew the history, lore, and intagibles that made the tour special. I love to research our travel plans, I couldn't have put together a more informative and fun tour. These guides love the material and sharing their country's treasures with their guests.

Bus tour with stops at beautiful castles near Edinburgh. Kylie was so funny and very knowledgeable about each location. She also provided stories about Scottish royal history between stops. The national anthem at the end of the tour was awesome!

This tour was one of the activities. I was most excited about on my trip to Scotland! Outlander is the entire reason I decided to visit this beautiful country. Getting a chance to see the sites is truly an amazing experience and I absolutely recommend doing this! To start off, the meeting point was extremely easy to find and very organized! Rabbies had their own gate section in the bus terminal and has several tours running so there were people there to check you in and let you know who your guide is.
Once on the tour, we got started right away with some general information about Edinburgh. It was a bit of a drive from place to place, but I didn’t mind it. Our tour guide, Ewan did a great job of giving us tidbits. That were very interesting to learn while driving. He played the theme song for outlander as we were pulling up to our first stop, Midhope Castle, AKA Lallybroch and I found tears swelling up in my eyes. It was a pretty surreal experience to see this location. One bit of information, if you plan to actually go up to the house and take pictures under the archway, you do have to pay entry as it is not included in the tour price. I believe it was. £9.50 which I absolutely paid to go up. We even got to go inside and take a look at some memorabilia from the show. My friend who was not an outlander fan, decided to not pay and just waited by the van while the others went to explore. The other locations had our entrance fee paid for so we were able to enjoy that.
I do feel that lunch was a bit rushed, we stopped and had about an hour to do both exploring and food, so I wish that had just been a bit longer.
The only thing that I would have preferred, is that the tour guide be a bit more informative on the actual outlander sites. There were two outlander tours running that day. It seems silly to say, but the first tour guide came fully dressed in his kilt and walked to each site with his group. Our tour guide decided not to dress in the traditional kilt, which is totally his preference, as it was chilly outside, but he also did not come into each location with us. He sat in his van and just waited for us to come back. I would’ve preferred to have more commentary. Our guide also made it clear that he is not a fan of outlander. He kept apologizing to the super fans because he was kind of making sarcastic comments about the show. I would have just preferred to have somebody that was more interested in the show or at least acted like they were. Again, he was a super nice guy, and his opinions on outlander are totally his to have. I just wish that I would’ve had somebody on this outlander tour that could have shown a bit more excitement toward the sites that we were seeing. It did seem that the other group had someone with a little bit more interest in making those connections to the show because he walked to each place with his people and gave them a bit more commentary. So I think the experience also depends on who you get as a guide.

We spent 20 days in Scotland doing numerous tours. Castles, lochs, ghosts and City. Outlander was, by far, the best experience. Son of a gatekeeper made it fun and entertaining, full of info and you could tell he loved what he was doing!
CELESTE_G, Mar 2026
Duncan was great with stories and history. The places were awesome and amazing. The coach was comfortable.
David_H, Mar 2026
Sean was very knowledgeable, engaging and accommodating. We were on tour busses all week long and Rabbies tour with Sean as our personal Highland protector and the captain of our conveyance was the best part of trip. Long live the "Son of a Gatekeeper "
Christi_L, Mar 2026
Sean was a great tour guide! We enjoyed our day trip to all the Outlander sights. We look forward to next time!
Amber_N, Mar 2026

I recommend this tour for any Outlander fan or those how love Scottish history. Small group, great tour guide/driver, allows time to explore and time for food and drinks. My friend and I had a great time at all the Outlander sites and we even drive by the Kelpies and Stirling Castle on the way.
Rebecca_B, Mar 2026
As a big Outlander fan, I really enjoyed this tour! It was great to meet so many other fans who made this a priority in travelling to Scotland - a highlight was when we found a photo of Claire & Jamie sharing a drink at the pub we visited in Culross. Chaz was an awesome guide! She was funny, knowledgable, and made sure everything went smoothly. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who likes Outlander or pretty castles.
SHARON_G, Mar 2026
it was disappointing. I liked the places but it really didn't have much. So many nice little towns but this was just an attempt to capitalize on the movie/
Jason_B, Mar 2026
Simon was an excellent tour guide. Tour was thorough and very informative. I was in it for more of the Monty Python vibe.
Bryan_M, Mar 2026
Absolutely great trip with splendid views. The castles were amazing and our guide was exceptional at tying all the Scottish history and heritage into the stops. I would definitely at this to your must do list!
