- Culross Palace is closed over the winter months. Tickets are not included in the tour price.

This was a great tour. I only wish we had a little more time in Linlithgow! We wanted more time to explore the palace, but had to cut it short to grab a bite. No time to take a quick peek in the shops either. Otherwise, we were thrilled to be able to go into Linlithgow Palace as well as Midhope Castle. When we took the tour almost 4 years ago, both places were closed to the public. We enjoyed all the stops and castles along the way. Our guide Stephen was informative, educational and funny.

Go for this one, amazing locations of Outalder (and other shows) . Our kind driver brought all the fun and knew a lot about the scenes filmed at each location. Plenty of time to look around each site, enjoy the scenery and of course take the perfect photos.

An absolute MUST for any fans of Diana Gabaldon’s OUTLANDER series. This has been on my bucket-list for some time now, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! It’s a full day’s coach tour (9hrs) which stops off at many of the locations where the TV series was filmed including: Midhope Castle (Lallybrock), Blackness Castle (Fort William), Linlithgow Palace (Wentworth Prison), Doune Castle (Castle Leoch) and the stunningly beautiful village of Culross (Crainsmuir). Our coach was relatively small (16 people), clean and fully air conditioned. Seat belts are compulsory in Scotland. Our driver Jack was absolutely incredible! A true Outlander fan and a history major to boot … so as well as getting the low-down on all things relating to the show, we also got to learn lots of other historical facts about the places we visited and passed through. Passing the Kelpies on the motorway was pretty spectacular too! Highly recommended … in fact I plan to do it all over agsin when my sister in law visits from Canada!

Great tour; as a history buff you have just enough time to get through the experiences and this isn’t taking into consideration the business of Scotland attractions. Traveling with older visitors made the pace a challenge for my group.

Rich was a wonderful tour guide with great stories. He also had photos from Outlander that corresponded with the location we were visiting. At our lunch stop, he gave us some great recommendations for lunch.

Jack was an amazing tour guide (perhaps the best guide we have ever had in our tour experience). He was very knowledgeable about the tour stops and he went above and beyond by giving us extra information at each stop. Even in between spots in the van he was entertaining us with great information and stories.

This was such a fun outing! I’m an Outlander fan and went with my sister who has never seen the show. Despite not having watched it, she had a blast! Our guide Ewan was fantastic. He was funny and full of information from the show and Scottish history. Each stop gave us just enough time to see the area, shop, and use the restroom before onto the next. I thought this was a fantastic experience that allowed us to see so many great places!! Thanks Ewan for the wonderful day!

This tour was beautiful and I loved the locations that we went to. However, Linlithgow Palace.was on the itinerary (Wentworth Prison in Outlander), and I was excited to see it and spend time there. It wasn’t until we were on the bus that we learned that we wouldn’t be going there. I was really disappointed, as that is part of the reason I chose the trip. All other aspects, including our guide Stephen, were wonderful. I just think that we should have been told this prior to the trip, and we should have had a reduced rate because it wasn’t included.

We liked Blackness and Doune Castles, which had admission included in the tour cost were well worth it; but it was disappointing that Midhope was not and cost us additional to get past the gate to actually get up to “Lollybrach”. The “lunch” stop didn’t allow us time to sit and eat while also seeing the palace - which was also an additional cost. The other stops were not worth the time. Overall, the expense was too high - we did have the same tour booked for several hundred less, but it was cancelled by the tour group. If we had paid less/the original price, I would have been happier.

Enjoyed seeing the castles and villages and countryside! I’m not an Outlander fan and that didn’t matter. Ewan was a great driver and guide with lots of historical information as well as “bad” Dad jokes. So much fun!

Our guide Sean G was amazing! Not only did he provide a lot of insight to our Outlander stops, he gave so much more about Scotland. It really enhanced our trip well beyond the tour itself.
Everything about the tour was exactly as advertised, and the stop for lunch was lovely. I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Sean.
