Very good experience. Our deiver Al was very knowledgeable and very social. A good idea would be to have lunch together.

3 day Speyside Whiskey tour

Christine_S, Sep 2024
A great Rabbies tour that's not too long. We experienced more than the tour listed due to our driver/guide Roger willing to think outside the box and be flexible. He made a few extra stops so we could enjoy some beautiful sights and history and his knowledge of the area was insightful. A great time.

Great experience, very organised!

Konstantinos_S, Oct 2019
Me and my mate decided to go on a whisky trail with Rabbie's. We didn't know if they're any good but Viator suggested this package and we decided to go for it because it was convenient, reasonably priced and all in one package so no hassle! What a great choice! Our tour guide/driver (Grant) was an amazing story teller, very capable driver and very caring! The mini-coach was very comfortable and easy to hop on/off! The choice of distilleries was spot on and even when asked to squeeze in an extra one he managed to pull it through without losing time from our busy schedule! Even the choice of B&B was great! Our hosts were amazing and they made us feel like home! Thank you Viator, Rabbie's and Grant for a amazing experience! Kostas

Rabbie's Speyside Whisky Trail - 3 day tour

RamuH_2019, Jul 2019
The tour was everything I hoped it would be! Dan Young, our guide, was excellent - knowledgeable alike on the history of Scotland as on the history of Scotch. Well-spoken, and great stories. Wonderful driving scenery; and excellently-chosen distilleries for the stops - each unique in its offerings of tours, whisky-making philosophy and lore. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour. Our guide Stevie was the best. We saw beautiful, wild scenery as we drove through the Highlands and the Spey River valley. We had tastings at 4 distilleries and the Whiskey Castle. The stop at the cooperage was amazing. Our bed and breakfast accomodations in Grantown on Spey were very comfortable in a beautiful old stone house. On the tour we stopped at various historic and scenic sights, including Elgin Cathedral and some ancient stone bridges. Great tour.

We had a really good time with Pete as our tour guide he kept the trip exciting. Our Bed and Breakfast place was exceptional Allan and Sylva were really great hosts. The weather was really good for September it only rained part of one day.

The Speyside Whisky tour totally met expectations. Travelers were a mix of Europeans and North Americans and everyone was friendly and cooperative. Barney the tour guide and driver was amazing with his information and love of scotch whisky. He was articulate, irreverent, funny and knowledgeable. Clearly he enjoyed his job! We visited both small and large distilleries and got to taste lots of whiskey. Our B and B accommodation was immaculate and the homemade breakfasts were delicious. Everything went as planned and as promised. The tour is highly recommended. Bring lots of UK cash as you pay for the tours in advance to the driver. Credit cards not accepted for the tours.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour - if you love whisky you must do this! The whole package was excellent from the accommodation to the lovely Keith our driver. We learnt so much about Scotland and it's history too!

If I could give this tour more stars i would. Our tour guide was Stevie and he was amazing. We were a group of 14 plus the guide that spent 3 days on this tour. We all had a great time! All of the distilleries were amazing. Stevie was very funny and patient with all of us. I highly recommend this tour. This tour company Rabbi's is fantastic.

Trip was incredible - would highly recommend it to anyone! Pete and Steve were just delightful and made each day exciting and full of fun.

David_L, Oct 2016
Great guide, great whiskey options, and a great learning experience. Only thing I suggest doing is check the hotel options in Grantown-on-Spey and work with Rabbie's to find a good option that has good reviews. In the group I was in, we were split over a few hotels and not all were great. Absolutely would do a tour with Rabbie's again and in fact maybe even repeat this specific one in the future.

David B, Oct 2016
This was an extremely well run tour with a fabulous, knowledgeable and full of dry humor, Keith the tour guide. It didn't hurt that we had unseasonably fantastic weather for sure but this would have been a great tour in any weather. The Scottish history lessons during the drive between distilleries was also a nice touch along with some scottish tunes mixed in here and there. I can't wait to come back for the Islay tour!!

AthenaA_D, Jul 2016
'Party' Pete was fantastic in giving us additional side tours of scenic views, historic sites and stores that offered tastings. We only had one other couple on board instead of 16 total due to limitations of accommodations in the town we were staying. Much to our advantage. It made for a more cozy tour. The distillery tours were fantastic, along with the tastings. Pete's commentary as we drove and historic facts were fascinating! A wonderful tour, in spite of the Scottish weather of drizzle, rain, coolness and overcast! It didn't damper our enjoyment!!

Bruce was fabulous and so was the tour! I highly recommend it if you want to see a beautiful part of Scotland and learn all about speyside whisky. A lot of fun. We stopped at quite a few distilleries. Just loved every minute.

Rob, Sep 2015
The whisky tour was incredible. The distilleries we went to and the sights we say in the Highlands were amazing. I was able to take an incredible album of pictures. After 3 or 4 distillery tours we got the picture and didn't need more tours. We just wanted the whisky tastings. We stayed 2 nights in Grantown in a bed and breakfast which was not the best of towns. It was too small, there wasn't any nightlife, and the restaurant options were limited. It would of been nice to stay in Inverness instead. Our tour guide Mac and driver Pete were incredible. Mac was very knowledgable and he was a great storyteller. If you have the option, make sure to ask for them as your guides.

Tour was great - excellent pace and lots of whisky! Never felt rushed at any of the stops, and the guide was very humorous too. Accomodations were amazing!! I loved the guest house I think they really pick well and at great value. If you like Whisky this tour is for you!

Brian W, Jun 2015
Fantastic albeit tame 3 day tour of the whisky Speyside area in the Highlands of Scotland. Bruce as tour guide kept things interesting with historical, cultural and personal observations using oratory skills reflective of Scotland's finest. Various short side trips showcasing some Highland treasures not part of the official itinerary made for a pleasant surprise. And the music - Lau! Bruce - try Trembling Bells! Thanks!

Edward R F, Jun 2015
Had an excellent tour, the driver was great, loved his country and his Whisky which greatly added to the tour and experience plus the knowledge gained about Scotland and Whisky. The only negative being that we were not told that the tours where not included in the tour package.

Our tour with Peter ("Party Pete") was fabulous. The group were great, the stops on the tour were a nice balance of sightseeing and distillery visits, schedule was excellent with appropriate stops to stretch our legs, and the Mercedes Minivan was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Peter knows his country and can answer many questions and has a very winning personality. The hotel booked for us was a fine 3 star in a nice village with a good bar and restaurant and great service. My wife and I were very pleased with the whole experience and recommend this tour to any couples or singles wanting to see the Highlands and experience the joys of Scotch Whiskey.

Great guide. Lots of additional stops for photo ops and food. Always on schedule but never rushed good choices if distillers . One of the highlights for me was the time we spent at the cooperage. I am really not a drinker and it was great to see coopers and interns working.
