I was primarily interested in the private tour as I didnt want to be on a 10-14 hour excursion (transfers, etc), to then spend just an hour or so on Saona Island. Many of the other options use a catamaran and speed boat, to make for a super long day. Touring via speed boat and at our pace, was perfect. Heike was super responsive to all my questions and also provided details on add on itinerary options, private transfer and lunch. We used the private transfer and our driver was very courteous, would highly recommend. He was at the dock, even as we arrived earlier than planned and helped to hose down the sand from our feet/sandals and offered us a stop at a local store, if we needed to pick up anything. We decided against the buffet, in case some of our party got seasickness, but I would recommend it. We ordered off the menu and granted we were a party of 7, it took 1.5 hours for our food to come out. The food was great and fresh, just prepared in island time. The island is a nice visit, but we enjoyed all the other stops to/back, along the way. No one got seasick (perfect weather and the speed boat helped), it wasnt an overly exhausting day and the private excursion was definitely worth the price.

From the start of booking till the drop off back at our hotel we were treated as VIP guests! We highly recommend this private tour! It’s amazing and communication was terrific. I don’t think there is a better way to see the island, snorkel and enjoy a wonderful lunch

False Advertising, Very Disappointing Tour

The Saona snorkeling trip was a nice boat ride, but the overall experience was very disappointing. The snorkeling was very limited, no reefs our interesting ocean life, there was nothing special about Saona island. We did enjoy seeing several starfish at one of our stops. Our tour ended 2 hours early and when we asked for partial refund the host Hieke refused. We rate the tour and customer service as 1 star, definitely would not recommend

Hello, I am very sorry that this trip was not up to your expectations. Our Operation Manager Daniela gave you a very complete briefing upon arrival at the boat dock. The captain speaks basic English, which is enough to understand your needs and to provide service. You entered the boat at Saona because you wanted to and rejected to go to the natural pools. Even when you came back early Daniela offered to go again to do 2 more snorkeling stops and you declined the offer. Additionally, your son Corey sent an appology via whatsapp for the way Daniela was treated and spoken to and stated that the tour and the crew was great and that he would make a 5 star review. If you check our overall reviews you see that our service and advertising is impecable.
