SLOW. Lacking Any "Adventure"

Not as described and certainly not an "Adventure". The buggy ride was nothing more than a series of very SLOW and short rides where each vehicle was repeatedly instructed to stop then go for what was apparently the sole purpose of the tour operator (DR Tours) getting pictures of the mud spray. A stop at a cigar and souvenir store could easily be eliminated but the lovely young lady and a yummy tiny cup of hot chocolate should be acknowledged. The time spent there would much better be utilized at the lovely beach stop which was the only redeeming factor of the excursion. Our departure was delayed approximately 40 min. waiting for a late couple. The ride to/from the buggy location was boring and could be improved with the addition of narration or information about the island and what we were seeing. In retrospect, nothing advertised that this was a "tour" and my disappointment is based on prior excursions with an engaging driver or guide who were often instrumental in making a mediocre excursion a great one. I wholeheartedly regret taking this excursion. The day would have been much better spent at the Tiano Bay cruise port area.

With all due respect, we would like to clarify a few important points regarding your experience: 1) The tour you booked was a group tour, not a private one. For this reason, we must wait until all participants arrive before departing to the buggy base. 2) Transportation from the terminal meeting point to the buggy base is provided in a safari-style truck with music, designed to be part of the overall adventure experience. Because of the open transportation, it is difficult for the guides to provide information about the environment. 3) The tour is conducted at a moderate and controlled pace, as it is intended to be a guided experience rather than a race. This pace, along with the safety instructions provided, is essential to protect all participants, prevent accidents, and ensure you can continue enjoying your vacation without any issues. 4) Additionally, one of the stops included in the tour takes place in a small rural village, allowing guests to experience the local culture and way of life. This stop also supports the local community, as any purchases made directly benefit the residents. We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations.
