Everything was organised so well. Every part of the journey smoothly transitioned, from the early morning pick up to the train station. Then on arrival there was a member of the team and our guide waiting for us. Superb organisation

It was very confusing because of the constant changing of the guide or person handling us, from the hotel pick-up, to the train station, actual site guide, lunch, and return to Cusco. The lunch became very confusing since upon arrival from the train station a person showed us the restaurant we were suppose to have lunch and explained we can go there anytime after the tour in Machu Picchu and gave us no voucher and just instructed us to tell our names. Upon arrival for lunch at the restaurant the proprietor refused to give us lunch because we had no voucher and no instructions were given to them by the tour agent. We tried contacting the local tour agent but could not. Luckily my husband walk around and recognized the person who met us at the train station. She had to transfer us to a different restaurant. Again the return back to Cusco from the train station became very confusing because our names were not in list. Luckily my husband again recognized the person who picked us up from the hotel. And we were dropped off in a plaza where we had to take a taxi. We were insisting they should drop us off where they picked us up. But since they said that the van is too big to fit in the streets they could not. Good thing there were plenty of taxis in the area even at 10:30 pm and we had enough Pesos left.
