Poorly Organised, Miscommunication Led to Missing the Tour

We booked this tour with high expectations but unfortunately were left very disappointed. When we arrived at the operator’s office, things were already chaotic and disorganised. On top of that, there was a significant language barrier, which made communication difficult. We explained to the guide that we had already visited the first three stops and asked to meet later at Sacsayhuamán instead. The guide told us to meet at 3:45 PM, which both myself and my travel partner clearly confirmed. However, at 3:00 PM I received a call insisting that the meeting time was actually 3:00 PM, and by then the group had already departed. This left us stranded and unable to join the tour. After paying for the experience, it was frustrating to miss it entirely because of the operator’s poor organisation and miscommunication. We did not receive what was promised, and it felt like a complete waste of both time and money. I cannot recommend this tour and would advise others to be cautious.

The tour was fully confirmed in advance, and our guide clearly explained that all participants needed to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before 3:00 PM. Unfortunately, you did not arrive at the indicated time, which made it impossible to rejoin the group once the visit had started. It is also important to mention that you refused to pay the entrance fees required for the tour. Despite this, our team still tried to assist you, but instead we received rude responses and even threats. It is not true that there was a language barrier, since our guides and staff speak English fluently and attend international guests every day. We also note that this review appears to be retaliation after your refund request through Viator was not approved. The Inca ruins and the llama park. The churches were nice but couldn’t take pictures (but we saw other groups taking pics). Very high entrance fee for it to. The tour guide was good. The bus driver was very agressive. Very happy they allowed to change date due to illness

The guide was very knowledgeable and professional. He kept us on time and allowed for bathroom breaks. The sites were wonderful. Remember to bring Sols since the entrance to the sites are not included. The llama and alpaca farm was great to see and the factory was very good quality for buying alpaca sweaters.

Excellent tour! We visit all sightseeings listed in our itinerary, Cusco Cathedral, four Incas sites, etc. Our tour guide Victor is vey knowledgeable about Incas history and he shared his knowledge with us. Victor is fluently English speaking tour guide. I would strongly recommend him as your tour guide in Cusco!

The tour guide Jhanett is very informative and fun, the car is clean, have oxygen tanks for altitude sickness emergency :) Unfortunately, the tour operator forgot to pick me up at 12:45 so I missed first half of the city tour. After I call and text and ask for a full refund, they managed to come at 15:00 and I got half of the tour outside the city.

Disappointing

Pretty poor planning for this tour. I was told I’d be picked up by 7.15 at the latest. Several calls and WhatsApp messages later, I finally got through to the tour agency who sent someone to pick me up around 7.45. We then waited for the minibus and finally got going around 8.15. When we arrived at the first site, the tour guide disappeared for about 15 mins. The members of our group were all pretty confused. When he returned, he said he was going to give us free time to explore the site, until one of the members of the group complained that we’d paid for a guided tour. The tour was then primarily in Spanish, although the guide did make an effort to translate to English. We spent what felt like an hour at a souvenir shopping stop off, which further delayed the tour and meant I had to leave early and miss the final stop on the tour. The tour itself does pack in a lot, so I’m sure if you’re not pushed for time and you speak Spanish as a first language it’s a great tour to take.

We had a wonderful guide who wrote a book about Cusco and its history. We ended up buying it. You get to see a lot of places during the tour and learn so much about them! Unfortunately, my husband and I were sick and had to leave the tour early. Luckily, the bus was able to drop us off at our hotel before Qorikancha (which we sadly didn’t get to see). Even though we didn’t get to finish the tour, we highly recommend it!

The guide, Nildo, was knowledgeable and spoke English well. He was great! There were at least 6 stops on this tour (more than I expected) so it was a lot to pack in for a half day. I loved that my group was small as well (4 total). I recommend purchasing the full tour pass that covers all the historical sites if you will visit others after this tour.

Not a City Tour - It’s a ruins tour

Thought this was a combo Cusco City and Ruins Tour but it was only a ruins tour - never toured the city of Cusco. Also you must have cash in hand to pay for the entry fees - a total of 95 sols per person - no credit. This was also a bilingual tour - mostly in Spanish. Tour Guide tried to explain things in English but he was difficult to understand. Felt like we did not get what was advertised on Viator. The company in charge of tour was also difficult to get in touch with in regards to pick up times etc.

Didn't get picked up on time, about 45 minutes from arranged time and after multiple phone calls to find out that the tour had already started. joined the tour late. The transfer man lied about the starting time of the tour. Then I discovered that they had 4 names on their list and they didn't notice or care that I was missing. However the our was good and the tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful.

Great Tour

This was a great tour of the ruins around Cusco and the big Cathedral in the square. Our guide, Wilfredo, was very enthusiastic and informative. He was passionate when he explained the history behind the sites we saw. We met him and the rest our group (about 15 people) outside the Cathedral in the main square. Wilfredo led us around inside the Cathedral and explained so much of the history there. Then we went to Saqsaywaman where we had time to take pictures and walk around the site after Wilfredo taught us about it. Then we went to Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Puka Pukara. These three sites were smaller so we spent less time there, but I think it was all the time that we needed to see them, learn about them, and take pictures. At Qenqo we walked through a cave where the Inkas performed sacrifices which was really cool. Also, all of the sites except the Cathedral were included on the tourist ticket. So if you bought that already, you didn't have to pay to get into the sites. Just show your ticket. Overall, great day. Thank you Wilfredo!

The tourist tickets required in Cusco are a bit confusing. I purchased the 10 day ticket expecting that it would cover everything but it didn't and I still had to buy entry into some of the sites visited. The tour did not start on time as the guide was half an hour late and we waited for some other people. The tour apart from that was excellent and tiring and the guide was excellent.

Really good tour! The guide was great at moving people along promptly so make sure we reached all locations before dark. It was a little hard to find our meeting point because the guide was a bit late, but that's my only real issue with this. We were concerned we were in the wrong place or had missed the tour.

I didn't give this tour 5 stars because we were sold to another agency. We were not contacted the night before about pick-up or anything and we had to call Viator to call the local tour operator. The tour guide we had was very excellent and he has a lot of knowledge to share. I just wish we were told earlier than we would be going with a different agency and we were contacted the night before about the pick-up time.

Hotel pick up at 1 pm was prompt dropped at city center but had to wait more than 20 min. in the heat before the tour started. Unorganized.if there was Viator flag or representative who speaks English would have eliminated confusion. Person who picked us didn't speak any English.. Finally some body called our name and tour started. Tour itself was good. Marco was informative and fun. Wish web site clearly shows the entrance fees. Spent over 30 for entrance fee.
