The owner of this ranch...

The owner of this ranch and their employees are patient and really nice. We had 5 riders that morning, with experience ranging from none to ridden a horse a few times. They assigned horses by skill and gave everyone some basic riding knowledge. We were offered the opportunity to trot (which we took up). The horses are well trained and are not spooked easily. For those that are concerned about horses welfare, they rotate the horses so that they only take riders once in the day, then have the next day off. This is a family owned ranch that has been in the area 100 years. They are knowledgeable on the area. Highly recommend and I will ride again!

Amazing!!

So worth the early start! The scenery is so incredible its one of the most amazing things I have seen. And our guide Tito was awesome he brought all the right energy, made sure everyone was ok and let everyone go at their own pace. The breakfast and lunch are buffets so you can take as much as you need to keep you filled. The hike is quite hard especially if you also want to do the red valley bit (which you definitely should!) so make sure you are fit and healthy and have had a good nights sleep. Only downside was a lot of people suffered from the altitude sickness so the bus ride back was a bit miserable.

A MUST DO. Our family of 5 had an amazing experience on this two day excursion. Our guide Luis A. made us feel like his family, he made sure we knew what to expect and what to focus on. He made this experience unforgettable! As a mom of 3 it was so nice to have someone planning every detail for a change. He and his driver Deosinides (not sure that is spelled correctly) were a perfect team.

Arnold and this whole experience was by far honestly the best thing we’ve done on our Cusco trip! Before this trip everything seemed so rushed by other companies, this was the perfect end to our trip! The horses were so well loved and taken care off, the sites were incredible and I just can’t say enough about how amazing this day was for my friend and I.

Perfect way to acclimate to the altitude

This was hands down the best tour we took while in Cusco. Gabriel is an absolute gem. If you have the opportunity to learn from him about the local culture, the Inca people, and life in the region, you'll leave both happier and more knowledgeable. He guided us on a wonderful ride through the mountains and hills, sharing fascinating information while allowing plenty of time to take in the breathtaking scenery. The horses were well cared for, gentle, and easy to ride, and we felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience. This tour was the perfect way to acclimate to the altitude while enjoying some of the most beautiful views around Cusco. We only wish we had booked another tour with Gabriel during our trip. I cannot recommend this horseback riding tour highly enough.
