What a pleasant food tour. It was simple, not rushed, and overall a great experience! I got to try lots of different exotic fruits, cheeses, local peruvian/chinese mix food (chifa), excellent pastries, local coffee, ice cream and tamales. The pace was very pleasant and I had such an enjoyable experience!

Great food & history lesson combined!

Amanda_H, Apr 2026
Thankful that we did this tour with Fabricio. Not only did we try some great food, dessert and fruits, he also gave us an historical overview of the Inca culture. Recommend to everyone! You’d be full afterwards. Thanks Fabricio!

Good tour

San Pedro Market sampling fruits and cheese. Introduced to a tamales stall vendor that was outstanding. Good tour.

A must Do

Melissa_L, Mar 2026
A must do Fabrizio is excellent guide and took a lot of time to explain the history of Cusco and take us to amazing food stops to try the traditional food

More (a LOT more) than we expected.

James_M, Feb 2026
Be hungry and be gastronomically adventurous. You will stop for tastings many times. Listen to the guide explain the origins of the foods.

Yummy tour!

Sebastian_B, Feb 2026
Great experience! I was taken around as mentioned in the itinerary and tasted lots of different foods, and they were delicious. I wish I remembered my tour guide's name, but he was really knowledgeable and very accommodating. For example - he knew I had already tried some food, and decided to have me try something different instead! I thought that was kind of him. He taught and showed me a lot of Cusco's history, which was awesome. I totally recommend this for anyone visiting Cusco for the first time!!!

Fantastic tour with a mix of history and good food

Jill_E, Jan 2026
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour which included a historical overview while walking from food stop to food stop. We especially enjoyed Francisco and his knowledge of the San Pedro Market. A fantastic way to get to know Cusco while sampling local and delicious food. We highly recommend!

If you're traveling solo...

Andres_T, Jan 2026
If you're traveling solo and expect a group activity, bear in mind that if no one else signs up, the activity won't be canceled, they won't let you know, and it will be an evening of just you and the guide, almost like a date. I had a good time though, but wasn't really what I expected.

Informative and interesting

Paul_M, Dec 2025
It was very informative and interesting and at an easy stroll. My guide, Amado spoke excellent English and was able to answer a range of questions which I appreciated.

Awesome Experience

Steven_S, Dec 2025
An amazing mix of food and history, he went the extra mile to make sure we got to try as much as possible while accommodating food restrictions. This tour focuses on local foods made by local vendors. Fully recommend, the best food tour we’ve ever had!

Great tour to orient to Cusco and Peruvian dishes!

Fabrisio was a great guide that took us to delish local spots. He gave us a great overview of the city and history. The market was especially fun, including an extensive exotic fruit tasting!

Great tour combining food and culture

Stephen_p, Nov 2025
Fabrizo was a great guide. He provided a great overview of the city pointing out many of the historical sites. It was a great mixture of history, culture and food. I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting an overview of the city and cuisine. We had plenty of food and it was well worth the price we paid.

Highly recommended

Lots of food

Koyanna_W, Nov 2025
The tour guide was knowledgeable and nice but the tour was a little too long for me. You will get a good amount of food.

Highly recommend this as your first activity in Cusco. A perfect introduction to local culture, history, and flavours.

Visited: October 2025 — Afternoon Food & Central Market Tour, Cusco Peru Summary: Highly recommend this as your first activity in Cusco. A perfect introduction to local culture, history, and flavours. Highlights: Fabrizio (Owner&operator) was friendly, professional, and deeply knowledgeable. He blended food, architecture, and Incan history seamlessly — more than a tasting, it’s an immersion. Experience Quality: • Guide: Local who is Personable, on time and clearly passionate and his city. • Food: Delicious, authentic, and generous portions. • Organisation: Easy meet-up, smooth flow, relaxed pace. Tip: Altitude affects everyone a little differently, so take your time and don’t rush when you first arrive. South America is bursting with fresh fruit year-round and is a great way to snack and eat on your trip! Overall: Excellent value. We’d book again in a heartbeat.

Very nice experience to try many foods and also walk around the main market. My group was only me and one other traveler with our guide which was perfect. Would highly recommend!

Julie_J, Oct 2025
Highly highly recommend this tour. Wonderful combination of delicious (and generous portions) of Peruvian food… as well as history, culture, and architecture.

The best food tour

Christina_M, Oct 2025
This has to be one of the best tours I’ve ever done. If you’re looking for high quality local knowledge and off the beaten path food experiences this is the tour for you. Fabrizio was really friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and professional. The group tried so many unique things and learned so much about traditional food practices and medicines. I was also stuffed by the end of the tour, so definitely come hungry.

Amazing tour! The guide...

Emily_R, Oct 2025

Excellent tour

aprilmunks, Oct 2025
We had a great time, it was well worth the money. We had a variety of excellent foods and beverages and our guide shared interesting information about local history as we walked around Cusco.

Amazing - gracias Fabrizio

Zabrina_M, Oct 2025
Fabrizio was an incredible guide, very good English. We explored the market and learned a lot about regional cuisine and traditional methods. We also walked around the neighborhood for other food sites, with commentary about the architecture and history behind the development pre and post colonization. We really loved spending time during this tour and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to experience food culture in Cusco.

Excellent local food tour

Stephanie_S, Sep 2025
I highly recommend this food tour. We stopped at many places that I would not have known about if it wasn’t for this tour. Fabrizio was an excellent guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Cuzco and its architecture. I learned a lot walking around with him. He was very patient answering all of our questions. The highlights were the Adobo soup and the best coffee I had in Peru and maybe ever! Also it was helpful to have him walk us around the market explaining everything and pointing out highlights as it would have been overwhelming for me to walk around alone and I would not really know everything I was looking at. This was by far the best food tour I did in Peru.

Perfect day in Cusco

Susie_S, Sep 2025
Fantastic guy, fantastic food, great, walking tour, very knowledgeable, English was great, he was very kind and a perfect day

Great walking city and food tour!

Jennifer_F, Aug 2025
Our guide, Fabrizio, was fantastic and made this a truly memorable experience! He shared his vast knowledge of the history and culture of Cusco while we familiarized ourselves to the town and sampled lots of great foods. Was perfect to do on our first day to acclimate to the elevation and learn our way around. Would highly recommend!!

Come hungry- SO MANY yummy things!

Cara_S, Aug 2025
Wow, what an incredible time! Our guide was very knowledgeable and made some bonus stops to tell us more about Cusco and its history. We started at San Pedro market which is HUGE and got to taste so many yummy things there, my fave was the fruits! Good to have cash on you in case you want to buy things there. After the market, he took us all over town trying so many different Peruvian treats. It’s hard to pick a favorite! Be sure to come HUNGRY — it’s a LOT of food, a very good value! I was stuffed at the end and couldn’t finish some of it. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic way to start your visit to Cusco

Sandra_P, Aug 2025
Delicious introduction to the history and culture of Peru. Not a typical tasting tour. Fabrizio weaves it all into a unique multi-tasting adventure across Cusco. We visited the central market, an award-winning chocolate shop, tiny, family-owned restaurants, and street carts. We tried unique fruits, cheeses, ceviche, and the delicious anticucho, learning every minute. Fabrizio is a fantastic guide, unhurried and always informative. Highly recommend.

Best Cusco Walking Tour!

Max_R, Aug 2025
Fabrizio was such a wonderful guide! I ended up having the tour solo which was such a nice experience. It seemed like everyone knew Fabrizio and I was in great hands. He brought me around the main parts of the city, explaining lots of history while also stopping for some great foods. I ate everything from tamales, corn and soup to chocolate, fruits, coffee and ice cream. As someone who speaks a little Spanish, it was wonderful to have a native speaker who also knows English to lead me around, we explored the main market together where he guided me around, explaining the layout of the market, as well as lots of the different products for sale throughout. If you’re looking for something to do during the day in Cusco, I couldn’t recommend this tour more!

Great Tour!!! 10/10 Would Recommend

Mia_W, Aug 2025
Fabrizio was great. We walked to central market and I got to learn not only about the various foods, but also the history of the area. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. My 2 favorite dishes outside pf the fruit were papas rellenos (spelling may be off) and dessert with the picarones. Those are a must have if you have a sweet tooth. I absolutely recommend this tour for the food, culture, and good vibes.
