Edward was an amazing guide. Because it was a private tour, we were able to sleep in more and still be the large tour groups back down. He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and lake. He even made sure we didn’t have to wait in any of the lines like the other groups. Definitely recommend booking.

Our trip to Humantay was cancelled last minute, as a landslide had blocked the access road, but we were quickly offered a tour of the Seven Lakes instead, which was an incredible alternative, by the helpful, efficient tour operator staff. Our guide, Edwar, was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel that we could go at our own pace, which at high altitude, was much appreciated. And our driver, Wilfredo, took good care on the winding roads up to the hike, which you cannot take for granted, as we have found out on other tours in Peru! Highly recommend this company, thank you.

Our tour guide, Jose, recommended renting horses for the trip up to the lake. We were resistant to the idea but we ended up taking his advice and I am glad we did. The altitude is about 14,000 feet and it was nice to get to the beautiful lake without being exhausted. We did hike down and that was enough high altitude exercise for one day.

This place is breathtaking, every second around was surprising, hiking is difficult but there are horses. My husband and I chose to use the horses because it was our last day in Cusco and we were tired, we had tours every day. We left at 7am and returned at almost 6pm. The lunch was delicious, our guide Javi gave us the best spa in the restaurant, we sat with the views of the mountains and on the way back our guide asked if we wanted to visit Tarawasi and the place was very beautiful.

Spectacular view

Our tour guide and driver were excellent. They picked us up from our hotel right on time and hiked the entire way to the lake while we rode horses. It is a long drive from Cusco (about 3 hours), but well worth it. The view is spectacular. Definitely take the horses up but you don't need them on the way down. Breakfast and lunch was included. They were both at the same restaurant. Food was very good.
