Great tour

Thomas_B, Jan 2026
Carlos was a great guide around Cusco and Miguel was great for the ride to Ollantaytambo and even added some extra stops! Elizabeth at Machu Picchu was also fantastic, and we were lucky to have great weather (even in the rainy season). The hotels were fine, although Aguas Calientes was quite loud! We were unfortunately left at the train station for most of the day due to the recent crash, some communication from Valencia/the rail operator would have helped us but it was obviously an extreme circumstance. We had a great trip, would recommend Valencia travel to anyone!

Good value good people

Best Tour Guides

Sandra_R, Jun 2019
We had wonderful, attentive tour guides who were extremely accommodating and helpful... they made the entire experience worth every penny. From start to finish the communication was always clear and easy. Andres could be reached at all times which we sincerely appreciated. Edson was a wonderful guide through Cusco, Julio took us to Machu Picchu and our favorite tour guide was the guy who drove us from Cusco to the train station in Ollantaytambo (I'm so embarrassed I don't know his name) but he picked us up early enough to make some stops (like we stopped at the Sacred Valley, Urabamba and the most incredible pit stop in Chincheras where we were able to see how alpaca fur is washed, died and sewn into gorgeous blankets, sweaters and poncho's.) Highly recommend you go there and buy the gorgeous work they create right in front of your eyes. All of the guides made us feel like they really cared about us and wanted us to have a great experience, and they were SO knowledgeable of everything in the area!! We got really lucky picking this tour. The only thing we wish we could have changed is our train rides to and from Aguas Calientes. To get there, we got picked up at 9 am and our train ride was at noon in Ollantaytambo, so we got to Aguas Calientes pretty fast (only about 1 and a half hour train ride) and we really did not have much to do once we got there. I wish we could have had much more time in Cusco that morning because there is SO much stuff to see/do there - so I feel if our train ride could have been in the evening that would have been nice. And then our train ride back was from Aguas Calientes to Poroy (the Cusco station) - which was like 3 and a half hours! Plus almost an hour in the mini-van back to our hotel. We definitely wasted time there. I highly recommend this tour but see if when you are booking the train rides you can do a round trip to AND from Ollantaytambo so you never have to go to Poroy, and see if you can head to Aguas Calientes around 5 or 6 pm and really spend most of the morning exploring Cusco. I will say there are amazing restaurants in Aguas Calientes there but aside from that, Cusco is really where you will want to spend more time. And last tip: DEFINITELY spend the night in Aguas Calientes before you go to Machu Picchu - this way you can get a good nights sleep and head to Machu right when they open - this way it's before the sun rises and before it gets packed! What a wonderful trip. Thank you Valencia!!!!

Absolutely awe-inspiring...

Paulus B, Dec 2017
Absolutely awe-inspiring!!! Firstly, I must commend the company for ensuring smooth, timely movements during the trip..We were met at the airport at the luggage carousel, by the incomparable Andres- such a genuine warmth, and an absolute font of information. We were unfortunately hampered by the effects of altitude, and were forced to cut short the Cusco tour, though again, we were met at the hotel as previously agreed, and joined a small group to begin the tour of the church. This is the one thing I'd perhaps change...allowing guests a full day to become acclimatized should they be susceptible to altitude sickness, rather than scheduling activities several hours after arrival. Fully recovered on day two, we were again on schedule, in the capable hands of Mr. Timothee, comfortably, taken to the train station for the journey to Machu Picchu.. I must make special mention of Messrs. Andres and Timothee, who allowed us opportunity to stop along the way to revisit highlights of the Cusco tour -Sacred Valley-which we'd missed the day prior. Seamless transition along the journey, was apparent throughout...comfortable, scenic train transfer, again, being met immediately upon arrival by our excellent guide Javier. I guess there several things I would say to convey our satisfaction with the tour...The destination is spectacular..beautiful vistas, opportunities for immersion in a culture whose history dates back more than 5 thousand years. The staff involved in presenting the destination to the traveler are special.. warm, informative, with genuine passion for their home and interest in sharing this with visitors. The attention to detail, in ensuring the itinerary was followed, certainly added to our peace of mind, placing ourselves fully in the staff's capable hands. Tremendous..thanks Andres, Javier, Mr. Timothy It's impossible to describe the experience of being at Machu Picchu...Awe-inspiring, -struck, -some Great

We had used Viator for day trips but...

Robert L H, Aug 2017
We had used Viator for day trips but never a multiday trip and had some trepidation about that but we were pleasantly surprised The rep.from Valencia Cusco Travel, Andres, did a good job of briefing us, was knowledgeable and was a great people person! Everyone showed up on time, and it ran smoothly. We had good guides for Cusco and Machu Picchu. Other people joined us for different parts of our small group tour which was fun.
