Visiting Machu Picchu was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and our tour made it even more special.
There were just four of us in the group, which made the experience feel personal, relaxed, and intimate. Our tour guide was absolutely lovely — so warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about the history and significance of the site. The information shared was fascinating and easy to follow, and we learned so much while still having plenty of time to take it all in.
One of the highlights was that our guide took the most incredible photos for us! They knew all the best angles and viewpoints, which meant we could fully enjoy the moment without worrying about capturing it ourselves.

This Machu Picchu full-day tour from Cusco was truly the experience of a lifetime. Yes, it was a very long day, but absolutely worth every minute. Everything was SO organized from start to finish. Our driver, all the transfers, the timing… everything ran perfectly.
Our guide Julio at Machu Picchu was incredible. He was so knowledgeable, hilarious, and made the whole visit feel even more magical. My friends and I booked this tour last minute, and we all agreed it ended up being one of the best days of our lives.

Book well in advance to get full selection of routes through Machu Pichu before they sell out. Julio was a fantastic guide and made the experience so much better than it would have been otherwise.

This was super well organized and a great tour. Highly recommend upgrading to the Vistadome train- the views were amazing! The tour guide, Yohn, was awesome, and very knowledgeable. The train back to Ollantaytambo had mechanical issues, and took about 4 hours to get back (rather than the usual 1.5 hours), and the taxi driver was still waiting for us when we got back! Great customer service!

A long day starting with the 3am pick up at the hotel in Cusco - but well worth it. The tour operator had an English speaking representative meet us at pick-up to provide the tickets and advise us of the day's process before leaving us with the driver. Note that the day includes a drive of almost 2 hours to the train station, and then a train ride of about 1 1/2 hours (and the reverse on the return). The driver walked us to where you load the train (there is no 'station') - something we appreciated. When the train reached Aguas Calientes, Julio met us as we stepped off and then coordinated purchasing the bus tickets (for the bus that takes you to MP - another 20 minute ride). My wife and I are 65+, and in addition to a very informative and memorable tour of a special place, Julio was also very helpful in assisting my wife in navigating the steeper steps (thank you again). A heads up that 1) the train is cramped, and 2) give yourself time to locate the return train station.

Great team and communication. They sent me info the day before. The day of that someone to meet me at every point. Tour guide on the pintail was great and very knowledgeable. Well done. It’s not the tour provider’s fault but that Peru Rail train is seriously the slowest train in the history of the railroad. 4+ hours each way to get around 70 miles. I got off then train on the way back and took an Uber.

Our Machu Picchu experience with Minkas Tour was phenomenal. The entire journey involved several modes of transportation, but the process was easy and seamless. Julio provided us with a private tour, making the experience truly exceptional. He took his time explaining everything there is to know about Machu Picchu and patiently answered all our questions.
We had the chance to explore circuits 3 and 1, both of which were amazing. Circuit 1 was a bit more challenging to reach, but Julio accommodated our pace, stopping frequently to let us catch our breath and share fascinating facts about Machu Picchu. He also took countless photos for us, guiding us to the best photo spots.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience with Minkas Travel. We would love to return to Machu Picchu and explore the other circuits with Minkas in the future.

We purchased our tour a bit late and unfortunately there were no more tickets to Machu Picchu. However, Irwin made everything possible! He arranged for us to have an overnight stay in Aguas Calientes so we could still purchase tickets to Machu Picchu. He also arranged the transportation to and from with our own private guide. I’m so grateful we didn’t miss seeing the incredible Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu...omg! I finally made it decades later. Like most people, this is on the bucketlist but it's more than just a mountain...it's a feeling and experience that hits your heart, spirit, mind and soul. It's extremely peaceful there. I can't explain the magical mysterious and calm feeling I was able to feel. I'm in love with Machu Picchu. The tour and travels to get there was very easy! I traveled solo with ease. Minkas travel was an excellent agent to use. The order is bus, train, bus. Very easy to follow with organized itinerary they give you. I was the only person on tour which made it very special and personal! My guide Julio was fantastic!!! He took the BEST pictures I've ever had in my life....this will be with me forever and he did an excellent job. Also, he taught me so much about the details like the room purposes, housing structures, landscapes/terrain, geology of the area, etc. Very knowledgeable! The day is long but worth it. The hike up was surprisingly easy but some steep steps; take small breaks. Very managable. I was lucky to have made it after the morning rain b.c. the view turned out beyond perfect! All shades of green, grey, blue sky, brown hillside, stone colors and clear skies! It was unreal....every minute was perfect. I wanted to cry at such a beautiful place. I wanted to stay longer. Machu Picchu is BEAUTIFUL! It's a place that you have to experience in real time. It's not just for pictures, it's for the mind, spirit, and soul. Peru is magnificent with a different energy compared to other cities. I cannot wait to visit again. Thank you Minkas!! The only feedback I have for the team is 1) I wish they would verify/contact 24 hours prior (I got an alert only 8 hrs before and had to call multiple times). And 2) is the Agua Calientes entrance has a person to walk you to the bus stop but finding her was tricky. Maybe her sign should add "Minkas" so it's easier to find her. Her board had 8 peoples names on it and I barely found her at the entrance. But everything else was perfect! Do this tour, it's very organized with amazing people!! Train ride was so fun!

The tour itself was great. The tour guide spoke English well and told us about all kinds of interesting things about Machu Picchu. He also took very good pictures in all of the best spots.
But the tour itself is only part of the experience. Buying this package means hiring a company to book all of the accommodations for getting there from Cusco. The driver picked us up early from the hotel and dropped us off at the bus station. The tickets stated that it was a bimodal transportation to Poroy Station, then train to Auguas Calientes. However, the bus did not stop at Poroy and instead did the two hour trip to the train station in Ollantaytambo. The driver should have made the clear in the instructions.
When we got to Auguas Calientes, there were guides waiting for us with our names on a whiteboard. We went to the bus line to ride up to Machu Picchu, but the company forgot to buy our bus tickets! We stood around as hundreds of other tourists all passed by to board the busses because they all had tickets. The guide had to get on the phone to have someone buy our bus tickets. We were able to get a ride 30 minutes later.
After the tour, we took the train back to Ollantaytambo and the bus back to Cusco. We were a little early and the driver was not there waiting for us. We were exhausted, so we just walked back to our hotel to get some rest. The driver got to the bus station at the scheduled time of arrival after we were already back at our hotel.
All in all, if I am hiring a tour company for the tour, I need each leg of the trip to be booked. Otherwise, I could have just booked the transportation myself to be sure everything is covered.

Mr. Clinton, thank you very much for your comments, and let me explain the points in your review.
First, regarding the train service, let me inform you that the Peru Rail company canceled the trains that go directly from the Poroy station to the town of Aguas Calientes. It happens that they bought new locomotives and are just testing them, which is why they canceled the services from Poroy and I hope you understand that it is something that we as an agency cannot handle.
Regarding your bus tickets, there was actually a delay in sending the tickets in the attached file, which was a human error instead of sending the transfer we sent the buses to the guide Julio and there was no good signal in Machupicchu and that generated your wait in the bus line.
And about your pick up when you arrived in Cusco, his bus actually arrived at the station before and our transfer was looking for you and he could not locate you and immediately I wrote to you at the time apologizing and I also sent you images that our transfer was waiting for them and apologizing for didn't find you. I offered you a transfer to the airport without any payment and you very kindly accepted.
We care about customer satisfaction and providing private service and when we see any type of inconvenience we communicate with the passenger as was the case in your case where it is true that you have walked to your accommodation but as a formal company I wrote to you at the time apologizing, assuming our responsibility where we offered you a complimentary of transfer to the airport that you very kindly accepted.

Fantastic experience and a very well organized trip with the lovely staff of Minkas travel. Highly recommended! They were very responsive and had a lot of patience for all my questions and made the trip unforgettable. I also have to add that Minkas travel went an extra mile for me because I struggled with health, and I was desperate and decided to reach out to them for help. They organized the trip for me to a lower altitude in the very late evening, transportation and accommodation as well and all of it for a reasonable price. I thought that my Peru trip has come to an end, especially because I am a solo traveler and I don’t speak Spanish, but I had the chance to be treated immediately and I spent my last days in beautiful Ollantaytambo and made the most of it even though I was not fit. Irwin and the team were more like a family than a tour guides!! Thank you soooo much one more time Minkas Travel! 🥰

1. They picked us up from the airport for only 5$!!!! Gave us our tickets and an extremely detailed explanation of the tour
2. The ride was smooth and everything was well taken care of (tickets, communication, etc)
Bryan was our guide and let me tell you, I wish I had done every tour with Minkas, Bryan took AMAZING pictures and was willing to help with everything, he is a great story teller and I learned so much about Machu Pichu with him. I am really bad at pictures and he made me look like a model 🤣 great plus!
The tour owner is such a lovely person and was very welcoming. I recommend booking from their website directly, I highly recommend this tour (I canceled from another company because of the reviews and I am so glad I chose this one instead!)

Absolutely fantastic communication/ organisation from the tour operator when I only booked a week in advance and I thought entry tickets were sold out. Everything was arranged and a detailed itinerary provided. Melhor passeio da vida! Tudo muito organizado, desde a saída do hotel até a chegada no Parque com o Guia privado, que me atendeu muito bem explicando toda história da civilização Inca.
