Picked up from our hotel by Alex who was our lovely tour guide and taken to the first winery. We were the only ones there, the view was amazing, the tour was great and the wine was so nice we bought some - we tried 4 wines in total and their olive oil. The second winery was lovely too, we got a tour of the vineyard and tried 4 glasses of wine. For dinner we were taken to a little town in the mountains. We had so much food, we were stuffed. They were so accommodating and lovely, the food was amazing too. We loved the whole day, really worth the money.

Driver was nice but only a driver. The ‘Tour’ was actually just a taxi service between two wineries and a tavern. Nothing about Archannes or the palace was ever even mentioned. We were traveling with two infants and expressed this multiple times prior via the booking agency, car seats, etc. expressed we were also booking with two more adults (4 adults and 2 infants). Day of the tour the smallest possible car shows up. Would have comfortably sat 3 people, not us. We were put in this situation out of our control and it was not remedied. The other 4 people on the ‘tour’ were driven around in an SUV with two extra empty seats. We were smushed together in a back seat holding babies in our laps. Price was ridiculous considering all this. Would not recommend.

We will post here the same answer as we did for your son's review. We apologize for the issue with the babies. As we mentioned to you, we were called by Viator asking if we offer baby seats but they never make a note on your booking. A Volvo S80 is not a tiny car but again that has to do with people's standards. Originally, we had 2 bookings of 4 adults each. Based on the bookings we had we assigned the best possible vehicle with lots of space as it is listed as a Limousine by European standards. Both bookings were Semi-Private Wine Tour. You knew what we didn't know. That the other 2 people were your siblings and you had 2 kids with you. I wish we had this information. We will have signed 2 separate vehicles and get you people from point to point in separate cars. That information was not mentioned in either of the bookings, even though we contacted you the day before informing you of pick-up time and vehicle information. We wish you all the best and keep those babies traveling around the world. Next time feel free to call directly the operators to get things clear because as we both experienced the mediator didn't do their job.

Definitely try the Za Za Zu

Four of us and 2 babies were crammed into a tiny Volvo that would comfortably fit 3. Our driver was a pleasant 20+ young man but it was his 4th day on the job-he knew nothing about wines or the area. The wineries were nicely situated in the countryside and the tasting rooms were welcoming. We were very interested in the humongous concrete vats used for aging/storing the wines. The wines were so/so with the exception of a sparkling called Za Za Zu.

Rather pricey for what was offered (included) being basically a taxi service between two wineries and late lunch. Expected driver to be with us for the duration of our trip but he kept leaving and returning which involved us waiting for him after second winery. He was very friendly but we expected more for the cost of the day. The wine was enjoyed by our group but a small cheeseboard would have been appreciated due to late lunch.

This was a wonderful experience! I’m so glad that we took this trip - the wine was varied and delicious and our driver was so friendly and knowledgable. The locations of the vineyards were incredible - at the top of a beautiful valley and in a well presented hill top location. The feeling was very different from each location and you can tell that a lot of thought went into the creation of all of these experiences. I can’t recommend it enough!
