Best Meal in Crete

Had so much fun with friends! I thought the wine was going to be the star of the show, but the food was absolutely amazing. In addition to the Cretan salad, we had dolmas, bread with cheese with the honey from on site, and pork. Definitely no shortage of food and the best meal I had in Crete. Highly recommend donating to the bees and bringing home the heather and cardamom honey and thyme honey. Wish I got more while I was there.

Our favorite excursion on our 13 day trip!! Vasili picked us up on time right where he said he would. We learned so much about the area, the people of Crete, the growth and processing of olives, the process of bee keeping, how to discover the right language to use to order the wine you like...and then there was the lovely meal we helped to make in the middle of the vineyard! Amazing day...amazing excursion. Shout out to Anna Maria who quickly answered my texts to help the day go smoothly! Thanks Vasili for giving us a day we will never forget! HIghly recommend this tour!!

This is one experience you’re not going to want to miss! If you want to see and learn about local farming practices, you’ll get a firsthand experience. Our host was more than gracious, showing us his second generation family farm where the vines grow. We also had a first hand bee encounter and a fantastic home cooked lunch amongst the vineyard. It was by far our most favorite day on the island. You won’t be disappointed!
