This was our favorite excursion of the cruise. Finding the meeting place was a little challenging but transportation to and from Playa Mia was comfortable and simple. We were given a contact person, Julio at Playa Mia and could return to the port area at any time. Lalo our salsa instructor was the highlight of the day. He was funny, informative and made the lessons so much fun. Thanks Lalo for a great day!

We had so much fun with Gael,Angel,and Yeye. We learned so many chef secrets from Angel and Gael and shared a few of our own. Yeye kept the drinks flowing. We highly recommend Salsa Salsa and Tequila.

The day before the activity they change the location from the beach to the city center and they didn't want to give us a beach time. They did offer us a refund or the salsa class without the beach. Thanks to our salsa chef Gilberto (he was a 5 star +) they finally decided to transport us to the beach but we had to pay our own transportation back to pier.

I really enjoyed this activity as well as my family. The salsa turned out to be delicious. The salsa class was fun as well. I would recommend this if you want an alternative to the normal watersport activities. I just wish I could have gotten the recipes because everything was so good.

Making the salsas and guacamole was fun. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a reply when I requested the recipes be sent to me. I tried to contact Playa Mia two times by following the instructions from the tour host, Angel. If you want to remember how to make the salsas in the future, I’d recommend writing down the ingredients and instructions while making them at the resort. The lunch provided after learning the salsa dance was very good. Better than the buffet.

Fun day at a beautiful beach with food, drinks, inflatables, kayaks and giant water tricycles included. We made 3 types of salsa and learned to salsa dance. Transportation was good. Liked that we had flexibility on when we wanted to return and didn’t have to wait for a big group. There were only 6 of us in the class. Highly recommend!

This excursion was amazing and i would absolutely do it again…the beach was gorgeous and the service was excellent.. the open bar and buffet were included… our chef’s name was Angel and he was great!!! We had the tamarindo margaritas and it was the best I ever had… we were introduced to the head chef as well and he was very personable… Angel taught us how to make pico de gallo, guacamole and chomatillo.., at the end we had salsa lessons plus some food they prepared for us… all in all a great experience just wish we had more time..

This was SO MUCH fun! We try to do food tours/cooking classes whenever we travel. This salsa experience ranks right up at the top. VERY enjoyable as well as educational. Our host Angel was the BEST. They really do it right at Playa Mia. Looking forward to taking their other cooking class next week! You won’t be disappointed!

Lalo was a wonderful host chef and was so accommodating and gracious with my elderly parents, and father who had dementia. This was an excellent experience for the whole family, young and old, to enjoy together. The food we prepared, and the lunch we were later served, was delicious. Great care was taken to make sure our needs and expectations were met. I look forward to recreating the tastes of Mexico at home! We will call affectionately call them "Lalo's salsa's and guacamole"!

Lalo made the experience memorable, fun and highly entertaining. After learning how to make 3 fresh Mexican salsa's, you will never buy salsa out of a jar in your local supermarket. Especially the guacamole. Learned basic salsa steps, met and made friends plus the facility is excellent. Can't go wrong.
