Outside the gates of the cruise ship terminal, take a taxi (4 USD per pax, not included) to the Mar Adentro Dive Center, inside the Blue Kay Ecocabañas. The driver should take you to the Blue Kay parking area. Walk towards the sea front, the dive center on the right, close to the restaurant.

Our family dives about once a year. We are always a bit rusty. Nico, our dive master was very patient and made our dive enjoyable and relaxed. Other employees at the dive shop were very affable and helpful. If we are back in Manahual we will dive with them again!

Great dive guides. You will be getting in the water to get on the boat so bring a dry bag. If you have your own gear you will be setting it up yourself crew " won't touch " your gear. They also had us carry our weights through the water, on and off the boat. " it was easier for them"
All and all, a good safe dive. Resort has shopping and a restaurant...nice day.

Your comfort is important to us, and above all, your safety. When divers use our rental equipment, our staff fully assembles the SCUBA unit, and the diver then personally checks and adjusts it to ensure everything feels right before entering the water. For experienced divers bringing their own gear, we leave setup in their hands, as many have very personal preferences in how their equipment is configured. This helps ensure both comfort and safety.
Regarding masks, fins, and weights, we ask divers to manage their own items to avoid any mix-ups and ensure each person uses the gear they are familiar with — an important detail for safe diving operations.

We arrived from a Cruise ship and the cruise ship is on central time but the dive shop is on eastern time. They told us to be there at 9am but the ship doesn't even let us off until 9 est. Be aware. We ended up completely missing the first boat and ended up waiting until the 2nd boat of the day and we were only able to get 1 dive in for fear of missing the ship. We also had other issues with my son in law and the discover diving excursion so we didn't stick around. Etienne was extremely patient and a great dive instructor. The dive site was called the Canyons and it was an extremely beautiful shallow dive. It was very disappointing that they do not cater more to ships on central time.

I took a refresher course with Etienne and then did a two tank dive with him and other divers. I felt safe and had fun. The dive shop called me a taxi afterwards. I would recommend this dive shop!

We had a wonderful time! My ear was giving me some trouble during the dive, but our dive master was incredibly patient and waited for me to clear it. I truly appreciated the care and professionalism. I would definitely recommend this experience to others and hope many people get the chance to see the coral the way we did—it was absolutely breathtaking.

Nice two tank reef dive with good equipment. Short boat ride to the reefs with lots of coral and fish species. We saw lobsters, sea cucumber and green eels too.

Awesome team! I had a great time doing 2 fun dives. It is only my 2nd dive since the ow certificate and first one where the waves were so strong. I was super nervous but out DM Rickie and Sebastian were professional, fun, and responsible. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I hope to see them again. Rickie was nice enough to offer being my dive buddy since I was there solo. Also taught me some Spanish 😆
The water was warm, although not super clear, we saw many many fishes and even a lobster! I hope i will see a manatee next time!

The guides were very friendly and professional. The setup for the dive was a little disorganized, and you have to carry gear some distance. Overall it was a nice experience but not top of diving experiences we've had. That being said, for the price it's really great value.

Very professional and friendly dive shop and crew! We enjoyed it. The winds had reduced the visibility to about 15-20 feet. With good visibility they are a five star dive shop! We will dive with them again!

The team was amazing. Patrick was an awesome diver and guide that took the time to refresh me on some basics without making me feel bad for forgetting. He offered corrections and recommendations on areas I struggle with. Communication was no problem, the place was a simple but comfortable side shack connected to a restaurant with great food.
I would 100% recommend this dive shop and would go back if the opportunity arises.

This dive was one of my least favorite. The water was very cloudy on both dives. This dive company takes you about 5 mins off shore on both dives.
I understand visible of the water is out of their control, but the process of getting gear, loading the boat, putting on gear and diving into the water was complete CHAOS. When assign your equipment they tell you remember the number on the equipment. They take the equipment to the boat, you get on the boat to your assigned equipment number. Unless there is two with the same number and then good luck making sure the equipment fits properly.
We could not even tell you who the dive masters were until we were in the water and they were taking lead. Once in the water it was more comfortable, but same situation on the 2nd dive and getting off and making back to the shop. After two dives I do not even know their names.

Gala and Brende was my dive masters for my 2 Tank Dives. THEY WERE AMAZING!! I hadn't dove in a while but they took care of me and made sure I was totally at ease. What a great group of people to go with on this adventure!!! We met them on our last cruise and specifically sought them out for this trip, and will for every trip to Costa Maya. I cannot tell you how much of a difference the experience is with them as compared to the many other companies we have used in the past. I highly highly highly recommend them.

We had the best experience! We were on a Virgin Voyages cruise and booked this experience through Viator. The team was incredibly nice and accommodating. We were an hour late and they still took us out for both dives. Our guides were fun and upbeat! We saw sea turtles, eels, sting rays, and tons of fish! Would 100% recommend!

Excellent two tank dives! Crew was full-service and top notch. Would definitely dive with them again. Saw turtles on both dives, which is always a bonus for me! Dive sites are close. Easy pick up and drop off from the cruise ship.

Great time and staff. Small group of 8 divers and 3 guides.
5 min boat ride to nice reefs and fish. 45 min and 45 deep on first dive. 60 feet deep on second dive.
Wish I would have brought more cash to tip with.

Work with and very close to the cruise port terminal. Recommend it if on a cruise ship and looking to dive in Costa Maya. David, Jose and Alex were great!!!!

Never tried to dive at this port but will be doing this again on my next cruise. I did the 2 dives and was back to ship on time. The boat and shop are smaller and enjoyed the First dive with 4 divers total & a dive master and second dive was just myself and the dive master. They did training for those that wanted to try diving but I was not with those. The water and fish were perfect for a nice day of diving. Directions were good and you can ask anyone if you don’t see the dive shop. Shopping venders, food, beach lounge rentals all along the beach and 1 foot from the shop. I took a taxi both ways and paid that on my own. Found the Dive master knowledge and attentive to the group. We had a female dive master, but don’t have her name at this time. I found this was a great way to get in more diving for my cruise vacation on Regal Princess.

The only good thing about this was our dive master Lucia. The reefs we were taken to were beat up/boring , 5 minutes away and done for the convenience of the shop. We were forced to go out on a “discover scuba” dive for one of our 2 tanks. No effort was made to find a good spot for the experienced divers. At one point, when I was descending with my dive buddy, another dive master yanked me to the surface and inflated my BCD and yelled, “You have to stay with me!” She had confused me with someone in the discover scuba class. To say I was upset would be an understatement. No apology or anything. A very overcrowded and underwhelming experience. I’m very disappointed based on the other reviews.

Thanks for your opinion, Debbie, although I have to disagree. You were 5 divers for your first tank and one Divemaster. As for the second, there were 9 certified divers, 2 Divemasters plus one Instructor with her only DSD participant. On this 2nd dive you were taken to a site 40 feet deep which is just a sand patch away from a deeper one (45 to 75 feet) laying along a slope. You were not taken there for the only convenience of most of the divers in the group. Because of the incoming full moon, it has a current that divemasters assessed unfit for most of their divers' experience. As you probably remember, you were having problems while descending on your first dive. It happened again in the 2nd and the Divemaster came to assist you as you were separating from the group. Inflating the BCD at the surface is just a safety procedure. The instructor and the DSD participant you mentioned were still on the boat (certified and non-certified divers are not mixed), and they witnessed you yelling at the Divemaster. As you were so, say, adamant about not requiring any help, the Divemaster had to wait for you 2 meters below. I'm so sorry you did not enjoy our service or our reef. Most divers do, indeed. I fear the key is that you wrote to us earlier that morning asking for a cancellation on the grounds that the day was dark and cloudy. Since the sea conditions were fine (no waves, good visibility), it could not be granted as it is a shine or rain tour. And perhaps you felt forced to dive. I'm sorry, but that is the downside of booking in advance. Please, if you can tell your husband to send us the DIN adaptor we lent him and forgot to return, that would be highly appreciated. We worked with Galla and David as newly certified scuba divers and it was incredible! They were funny and patient with us newbies. They showed us beautiful sights and took wonderful care of us! Highly recommend meeting them :)

Great dive shop on the West End. Very small groups. Staff is excellent and very helpful. If you want a great safe dive experience you should go with Native Sons. They also have a hotel and bar if you want to stay. Hotel Chillies.

When we arrived, they didn't have a record of one of us, even though the confirmation on the phone from Viator. The divemaster did not seem happy to have a beginner with less than 5 dives and not friendly. No indication of anything we might see. On both dives, we only went around coral, very seldom over it or looking at it for interesting animals. Saw a fair amount of fishes. No one had depth gauges except the divemaster, who said we didn't need them. We waited over an hour on the beach (he told us 30 minutes) between dives because he was helping another group. He was very professional above and underwater but never showed us anything. Very small boat. Support associates were friendly and helpful.
