Itinerary

After hotel pickup in the morning, your tour starts with the drive to the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, about 6 miles (9 km) from the city center.

When you arrive, enjoy this truly special opportunity to see pandas of varying ages going about their daily routes of sleeping, eating, and playing. Under the supervision of staff, you have the option to make an advance reservation and pay a donation to the center (RMB 2,000) for a photo op while holding a panda (optional). Otherwise, just enjoy observing the pandas at their home.

When your time at the center is up, your guide takes you to Jinli Street, one of China's oldest commercial streets, dating back 1,8000 years to the Qin and Han dynasties. Have lunch at a restaurant here, and then visit a brocade museum to learn about this textile art and its place in Chinese culture.

Next, make a stop at Chengdu Renmin Park, which was established 1,800 years ago, before the return to your hotel to end your tour.
