We booked VIP seats but were placed halfway to the back, constant obstruction by workers selling food. Face changing was barely 5 minutes at the end.Overall a so so performance

Andy, the tour operator did a great job. He provided excellent communication and even personally helped us with the show tickets and drove my wife and me back to the hotel after it. He was very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend his services. For the show itself, mix feelings. there were different acts, some of them I really liked such as the mask changing dances or the hand shadows, some others not at all with the singing, but it is about preferences and I'm not a big opera fan myself. Would not go again to the same show, but it was a good and interesting experience. If I return to Chengdu, for sure I will contact Andy again and will ask him to help us with other sightseeing activities

We enjoy the opera house. The actors and actresses really put on an amazing show. Loved the changing masks and fire breath g. The skits were entertaining even though we dont know mandarin. We had an amazing driver Lin Bin. We were able to communicate with translator he was amazing.

Arrive early for any of the promos or souvenirs. Download Alipay/Wechat pay to order extra food or drink (besides the bottomless tea/sunflower seeds available). The location of the ticket place / and performance aren’t obvious - get the tour operator to send you photos in advance. My seats in the VIP section were in the far back - even though I arrived extra early - so when booking make sure to ask for better seats, where possible.

Great Service from driver, the performance is beautiful and sometimes hilarious but definitely an art form. Good Service from the staff of the opera house, included are tea the whole performance long and beyond a dessert, souvenir, neck and shoulder massage or traditional ear cleaning

Die Show ist ein Highlight. Sicher etwas laut für empfindliche Ohren. Das entspricht, meinen Eindruck nach, den lokalen Gepflogenheiten. Sie fand überdacht, nicht klimatisiert statt. Es wird ein eine Abfolge der verschiedenen Stilrichtungen mit Akrobatik, (Solo-)Musikern, Puppenspiel, Schattenspiel, klassischer chinesischer Oper und "Gesichtswechsel" dargeboten. Im VIP Paket gibt es Zusatzoptionen. Dafür sollte man ca. 30 Minuten vor dem eigentlichen Showbeginn dasein. Verkleidung ist nur für Personen möglich, die dem chinesischen Körpermaßen entsprechen. Ich als großgewachsener Europäer war leider aussen vor. Die Fotos vom mitreisenden Teenager waren es wert. Auf die mir ersatzweise angebotene Massage (wahrscheinlich Nacken/Schulter) habe ich verzichtet. Bei den hohen sommerlichen Temperaturen war es mir um meine Oberbekleidung bange. Es wurde Tee serviert, fand ich sehr lecker und es rundete das Paket ab. Rechtzeitige Buchung mehrere Wochen im Voraus ist im Sommer (chinesische Schulferien) unbedingt notwendig!
