Very well organized and tour conductor's replies were always quick and precise. The driver does not speak English and I never speak Chinese, but we could cope with the translation application. It could have been better if I could choose the train back to Chengdu, as I knew I would be able to walk faster than average.

The China agent, driver and tour guide are patient and helpful. The tour guide is so knowledgeable and knows the fastest way to bring us around. The driver is very warm and gives us useful advice moving around Chengdu. But the service rendered by Viator isn't as good.

Know before you go

There are separate fees for the mountain, some of the temples, the bus, and the cable car.
Bring a jacket or warm layers for the top, as it will be much cooler than at the base, even in the summer.
It often rains at Mt. Emei, so bring an umbrella or a rain jacket.
Be careful of the monkeys. They can be aggressive and have been known to attack and rob visitors.
